WAY too big

I am 6'0, with a curvy build, wide hips and a decent-sized chest (34D). I ordered a L for this dress, as I typically do with free-people dresses, and was so disappointed when I received the dress. Although the coral color was beautiful and the length was perfect (about the same as it was on the model) the dress was far too big on me. The gap in the middle was quite wide, and the sides of the dress puckered a lot and were quite unflattering with the pockets (although I do love pockets). The back was far too roomy as well, and the banded waist set much lower on me than the model. Overall very disappointing, I am taking the dress back as soon as possible.

I ordered this dress already a little nervous about the bustline since I am only a 32B.. and it was definitely a mistake! The length was perfect I;m about 5"6 125 pounds but the bust was way too large. Will be sending back!

I tried this dress on in the store, and I see why it's on sale : ( I'm typically a small in FP tops, but the XS was too large. The waist and the skirt of the dress fit (true-to-size), but there seems to be a lot of excess material in the straps. I could make the front of the dress fit (as pictured), if I gathered up the material in the back and held it in place. It's too bad that this dress wasn't styled as a halter, or made with adjustable straps! If you're crafty, you could probably shorten the straps at the shoulder seam.

Not worth it

I have a D cup chest and small waist, which made the top gap on the sides and the front. The waist also rode up way too high. No matter which way I pulled and tugged the dress, it didn't lay right.

I chose wine (no longer available), but it fits very much like on the grey model on me. I am a M 36B at 5'8". It is a little looser in the breast than I would prefer, but so long as I'm not doing anything too active, we should be all good. However, the dress is truly of fabulous quality for $30, something I was really impressed with given that many have been complaining about FP's quality as of late. No flimsy material here! I can't wait to wear this dress on NYE.

runs large and weird seams on the chest

The cut of this is absolutely adorable, the color is beautiful (the burgundy) and the weight and feel of the fabric is nice. However, what others have mentioned about the weird stiff seam on the chest is correct. The chest part also runs large. I recommend trying this one on to see if you can make it work before buying.

Cute, Easy dress

This dress works well for me. I got the small like I usually get at FP. I'm 5'-6", 140 lbs. with a small high waist, and a 38B bust. The gap in front didn't show any side-boob, the fabric is a nice weighty knit and I didn't have a problem with the front seaming - I actually like the extra coverage at the nipple line - no bra-pad inserts required. I would like the dress to be a bit longer on me, when I put my hands in the pockets it rides up a bit and on a windy day, it could be trouble. But I put on a pair of shorts underneath just in case. The straps can cross in front and in back as pictured, or for easier entry as a swimsuit cover-up, you can step in and twist the straps in front and then just loop over each shoulder in back.

I ordered the coral in xs and was very disappointed. The color is beautiful but the seaming on the top is very strange and even pokes out funny. I have am a 32 b/c but I think I seaming would look strange even on someone with a fuller shape. I would not recommend this dress.

I didn't like the dress on me as it is wrong for my body type but I'm sure if you are really slim and flat chested this dress will fit you perfectly. As I have breast it just made them look more "obvious " than I'd like them to be that's not my style I should have known better. The material is not too light weight , it is a true black , well made , there is not a lot of "give" when putting this dress on ( no zip) It drapes really well there is not a lot of bad things to say apart that it did suit me !
