Embroidered Meadow Jacket
I understand the general point of view from previous two reviews, but disagree regarding this jacket. I, too, am a size large (12 in dresses), however I saw this jacket in my local FP store & it fit perfectly in a medium on me. The sleeves end mid wrist (I'm 5'9" with long limbs), so I'm pretty sure a large would have been too big (they only had this one jacket in medium, someone else had returned). I absolutely love this jacket & would recommend, possibly even going down a size (PS: suede tends to stretch out too).
Agree about tight arms
I saw the previous review where tight arms were mentioned, and at the time of writing this, 0 of 2 had said the review was helpful. I just wanted to support the point of view of the reviewer because she is right, although FP clothes do (happily) often run quite large in comparison with other brands, the leather and suede jackets never do, and tight sleeves in particular are a regular feature. I'm usually fine with the L and sometimes the M in jackets, while I am currently typically M in most other items. When I was typically L in most other items, the leather and suede jackets in L frequently would not fit me comfortably, especially the narrow sleeves, and in the breadth across the shoulders. FP leather & suede jackets are fairly uniformly a size down from their general sizing. I do agree that it would be nice if FP would offer an XL size in leather and suede jackets to offer to their loyal L-size customers. The styles are always really attractive and it's such a shame to leave some FP devotees out.
Arms are snug, otherwise cute!
It's a really cute jacket. Don't know if it's worth $600 though. (If the fit was amazing & the color was just right, then maybe) I guess the embroidery brings up the value. Pretty design, but the L arms are too snug. I usually wear an XL, so what did I expect? Well, I was hoping for a cute suede jacket that ran big (like most FP tops, but 2nd time bit here, jackets DO NOT.) & also hoping that it was true to the color in the photo, which it isn't. It's lighter in person. FP should offer XL in ALL jackets & this particular one, in a bunch of different colors. Returning.
