Style: 31269996 Color Code:
Lace bandeau with scalloped lace along the bust. Stretchy straps that loop together in back. Lined.
Not worth the price
I was very excited about this bandeau because I thought the criss cross back would be cute with come low back stuff. I got black which is a bit see through on the front. I got the XS/S and all of my FP orders have been one of these two sizes and I wear a 34B. It was too tight around me and there wasn't enough coverage in front. The band in front barely covered my boobs. The few times I have worn this I constantly have to check myself because the front has definitely rolled down and wasn't even covering me anymore.
Color not as shown online
I ordered this in white, the picture clearly shows a pure white color, which is what I wanted. I received more of a cream color. Not happy at all. I ordered this and waited for it to ship all to probably have to drive all the way to Easton, the only location around, and not get refunded for shipping either. I'm disappointed because it's a really pretty bra and I was looking forward to wearing it.
pretty while it lasted
I loved this bra when I first bought it but unfortunately the sharp boning in the sides began to poke out after just a few wears. The back was very pretty with backless tops but terrible quality :( I'm very disappointed
Hi lauren_muhs, We're sorry to hear about your bandeau. Someone will reach out. - Free People
I need to wear a strapless bra underneath in order to get actual support. I love the look and the cross in the back but it has a tendancy to roll up or down, and the support is not existent. It's fine and cute for $20, but if the price was higher I would not have bought it in the first place. I have the deep turquoise color.
The best bandeau I've ever tried.
I purposely don't buy shirts that require me to possibly buy a bandeau. I have never liked them. However, I found myself in a position where I needed one and gave this and a few others a go. I really like it. I wear a 36A and bought a small. I'll probably get another if I need one again in the future. I think the scalloping keeps it from cutting in too much on the top, so fat spillage is minimized. There is boning in the side that keeps the fabric from rolling down under your arms and the straps are pretty. Good support too. It is pretty sheer, but not as much in the black. I feel comfortable wearing the black under a semi-sheer shirt. I probably wouldn't be as comfortable in the lighter colors which were very sheer when I tried them on.
Cute but Very Sheer
The lace and back straps make this bra very cute. I love the subtle scallops along the top. I am a 32B and purchased the white in small. It fits me well- it is snug and barely slides down. However I did not realize how sheer it would be. I can see my nipples right through the material. It wont be suitable for some of my sheer tops, but I really like wearing it with black anyway.
It's pretty, but it slips
I'm a 32A. I noticed that a number of reviewers, ladies with busts more substantial than my own, recommended sizing down. Sadly, an XS is as small as one can get, so that's what I've got (of course, I bought it in store before I'd read any of the online reviews). I find that if I engage in any activity remotely more vigorous than impersonating a statue, this puppy slips. I stand up, it slips. I raise an arm over my head, it slips. I sit on the couch typing a review on my computer, and yep, I'm tugging at this bra. That said, I kept it. It's pretty (I have it in black) and a necessity for several tops I own. Anytime I wear it, I live in perpetual fear of wardrobe malfunction, but I suppose it's worth it, since I love those tops. If you fared better in the genetic lottery than I did, size down. If you're like me, try it out and decide for yourself whether you can handle the tradeoff.
Looks great but doesn't stay on all day
I tried this on in the store before I bought it. The medium fit better and more secure than the large; I wear size 34-36D bras. The bra looks super cute and looks great under my loose tank tops, but it didn't take long for my girls to keep popping out. I find myself constantly tugging at it (in private) to make sure things stay put. I don't recommend this for anyone who wears bras larger than a C cup. The band just isn't wide enough to keep things in place.
Pretty, flattering but not that sturdy
I am size 32D and bought the XS thinking that it might fall down otherwise. Should have stuck with a S. Its a very flattering Bandeau and the Nude Pink is very complimentary on my cool skin tone. However you can see my nipples and it doesn't feel as sturdy as I would like. I decided to return it as I wanted something a bit more practical. But I can imagine with certain pieces it would work well.
A good piece to wear with extra holding support, if you want to add inserts to the piece. Back is decorative, allowing for many low back fashion designs.
