pieced lace heaven
initially i didn't think this/dwork, as it completely squishes the bust. it took a lot of adjusting the straps in the back to make it work better. i feel that the design of the dress intends to flatten the bust a bit, especially if you're busty, when i saw it on the cover of the 2013/02 catalog. the neckline is also quite scandalous that it'll probably require some tape. maybe it just works better on slender types. the skirt is very pretty and you can see the patterns thru the sheerness. i'm 5'3" so it's very long on me. i kinda wish that the black also has some of the neon stitching which would make it even more interesting, but oh well.
While a bit pricey, this dress exceeds my expectations. The lace layering is incredibly pretty and the overall shape is extremely flattering. There is plenty of adaptability to the fit with the adjustable lacing from the straps over to the back. I am FP10/12 M/L 36/38C/D and I find the L is comfortable and hangs perfectly. I also found that with the laces, you don't need a bra with it. Gorgeous dress and a pleasant surprise. By the way, I was nearly put off ordering this because of the neon yellow and pink stitching mentioned in the description. I needn't have worried - they don't exist!
