I bought a 25 (usu 24 size) because some reviews said the legs are very small, but when I got it the legs were baggy and the waist was much larger! it is several inches of room at the waist :( have to return I can't wear them at all!
Perfect ripped denim
I ordered the London in a 29. I'm normally a 27 however after reading the reviews the legs ran a bit tight I decided to order up a size. The 28s were showing out of stock the day I ordered. I could have worn a 28, the 29 are very loose especially in the waist. For reference I'm 5'1" 120 lbs. I'm going to keep since they are the perfect ripped denim and so soft and I ordered at 30% off....New fav jeans. I would order up a size if you have athletic legs.
Look great - but tricky sizing.
Reviewers that say the waist runs big and the thighs run small are correct. I wear a 24 in One Teaspoon Bonita shorts and a 25 in their Bandits (I'm 5'8", 120lbs & 32" hip for ref). I ordered these in a 26. The waist fits if I wear them slung low on my hips, but at 5'8" the inseam is slightly too short (and the jean offers zero stretch) for me to comfortably do so. Worn at the waist they are about 1 size too big. Sizing might be tricky for those of us with narrows hips & a longer inseam. These look great though - I'd love to keep them if I can overcome the slightly loose waist (the thighs would def be too tight if I ordered a 25).
FABULOUS BUT SIZE UP!!!!!!!
These jeans are absolutely freaking amazing. I got the Saint wash. I cannot wait until I wear them and wear them and wear them. At the same time, the sizing is awful. I have a very curvy bottom half and a very thin waist. I am normally a size 28 in regular stretch or slightly stretch denim. These jeans are a huge problem with my body type. The only reason I ordered a 30 is because the 29 was out of stock. As soon as the 30 came in, I sprinted to the door to tear open the box, and uh oh.....they won't even go up my thighs!!!!!! That was a *huh?* moment. Nevertheless, the second time I tried bringing them up, they stretched out and opened up a bit, and I was able to get them on and button them, with lots of love handle sticking out. If there was a 31, I would have ordered this, but there isn't! Curvy girls be careful. These jeans are better for very slim girls because if normally you're a 29, well, you're out of luck. NEVERTHELESS, now that they come on, OMG....they are so amazing and raw and edgy and rock n roll. I cannot wait until I order the Cobain and the London!!!!!
Hole-y thigh bulge!
Firstly, I LOVE these jeans. I love the color (cobain), fit (perfect crop length, perfect fit through thighs and waist), and level of distressing (awesome!). I'm 5'7 and fluctuate between 25-26 waist and ordered both. I didn't notice a big difference between sizes, with both fitting equally fine. But...the thigh bulge when sitting! It's perfect otherwise except then. I have thin legs, and the jeans fit awesomely otherwise, but for both pairs, yikes, I had flesh oozing out the sides when sitting. I might try the 27 as a last resort and, if those don't work, I'd have to give up...these are jeans that should fit more TTS than other One Teaspoon jeans, which are usually very baggy, and going up too much in size would likely mess up the overall look of the jeans.
I so love these jeans, but my husband doesn't get it. He just can't figure out why I would want a pair of jeans that look like they're falling apart because when he gets holes in his jeans, he throws them out. Oh well..... To start, I sometimes wear a size 27 or 28 but after reading the reviews, I decided to purchase the Cobain in size 27. For reference, I'm 112lbs. Some reviewers mentioned that the waist ran a bit on the bigger side but the rest of the jeans seem to fit true to size. I've acquired somewhat of a bigger tummy but the rest of me is slim. Slim hips and legs. The size 27 is a perfect fit for me in every way. The hips, legs and lo and behold, my tummy! So the reviews were right, the waist does run a bit bigger than the rest of the jeans. I measured the waist on my size 27's and it is 30". I'm a shortie at 5'2" so the length hits me a slight below my ankle. I'm not sure why they put zippers in as I can get my feet through easily without unzipping. I guess it must be just for the fashion look but I would be happy without it. Speaking of getting your legs in, be careful when putting on as you could stick your foot in the holes and tear it even bigger, which is what I did when I first put them on. Thank goodness I caught it just in time and nothing tore :) As for the button, EGAD! It took a few minutes and a chipped fingernail to unbutton. What's with that? The wash on my Cobain is a true medium blue and the fabric is nice and soft and feels like I've had them for years. This is the most awesome jeans I own and will be wearing them a lot, and ignoring my husband's comments haha!
love these jeans
i got this in my regular size and it fits well. the waist gets a little loose, but the legs fit as they're not too tight that my thighs bulge out, and not too loose to ruin the skinny-ish straight shape. i'm 5'3" and the length is perfect for me, with the bottom exactly at my ankles.
Sadly not for me
These are beautiful, fit great in the legs and have a very flattering wash. They are also a nice thick, structured denim vs. the uncomfortably clingy jegging material you often find. The distressing is fantastic and you can always snip off any dangling threads you feel are too much. Unfortunately I had to return them because they didn't even begin to go over my hips. For reference, I am short-waisted with a waist size 25 and wide hips. I sized up to a 26 but I think to fit into these jeans I would have had to purchase a size 30 to go over my hips, but then the legs and waist would have been way too big.
