Wool over a flatwoven wool base, set in a natural wood frame — two rounded forms tufted in warm sand, each ribbed internally with parallel grooves running across its surface. The forms sit on the ivory ground as objects rather than lines. Aspen One and Aspen Two arrange the same two forms differently.

Sand on ivory is barely a contrast, so this works by relief — the forms come forward under raking light and flatten under an overhead lamp, and the piece changes through the day. The internal ribbing only resolves from a step away.

Care/Import

• Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth
• Vacuum lightly using a brush attachment on low suction to lift surface dust from the tufted pile
• Avoid direct sunlight to preserve the natural warmth of the ivory and sand tones
• Spot clean carefully using a mild dilute detergent and a lightly damp cloth — allow to air dry fully
• Do not saturate the wool or wet with water or liquid cleaners
