Washed pullover in a semi-sheer gauzy cotton blend. Effortless, drippy silhouette with a blousy neckline
I felt compelled to write a review mostly because I want to say that I did not find this to run large. I am 5'6" and 115 lb and because other reviewers said it ran large I ordered an XS. It fits nicely but I could have gotten a small. I found that unless I had the top open that the arms were a little short and when I had both my arms stretched forward it was tight across the back. Sinse this fabric is very delicate it could easily rip. I think people feel it is over sized because of the body - it is roomy - but it looks cute with a hip belt or even a regular belt. Of course the type of body you have and how you are going to wear it that makes all the difference. I just want everone to know that the top is TTS in the arms and back. Other than that I got the lavender and it is so pretty! I was almost sure I would be sending it back before I got it and got it only because of the reviews. I loved the color too. My favorite dusty mauve. The way the top drapes is really pretty - love that. I find it sheep but not so much so that I am not comfortable with a short tee bra under it or even a lacy bra. Depends on where you are going. Easy to dress up. Very fragile fabric (which is why you don't want to have it fit tight in back or arms- not to mention uncomfortable that way). I love that is is long in back. This is not worth more than the sale price - the retail is WAY too much. But it is unique and the colors are very nice.
Soft, flowing, and beautiful with a hip belt
I got this in the lavendar, and it's simply beautiful! Lightweight and feminine, and it looks great with a hip belt cinching it together over some skinny jeans. Since it's sheer, I paired it with a beautiful cream lace high-necked bralette from FP (forgot the name of it), and the overall look was stunning.
These tops at the sale price are fantastic. I purchased one then went back and brought all the colours, great colours. All close to pics except the the blue which is more of a denim blue. So light, cool and flattering, look heaps better in person. I am size M usually but buy size S usually in FP and the S, although generous is just right.
Ordered the S...way too huge & sloppy...NO STYLE. Looked like I was wearing an oversized hankie or kitchen dishtowel. Liked the color but returned same day. With the shipping charges both ways FP is getting too pricey... I will consider twice before ordering again!
The description states this blouse is "effortless." But it comes out of the bag sooo wrinkled it's a big mess. The care instructions state "do not iron." So be prepared to steam, I guess, and even then, in a movement, more wrinkles. The look on the model, with the gorgeous mauve color, was very hard to replicate...not just because I'm not a model, but because, even in different sizes, it doesn't hang the same way naturally. Sadly, on me, it looked like I was wearing a tent.
It's as pictured
I liked the simplicity and lightness of the top, perfect for summer and got it in the beige color. It's easy to wear and could be worn for very casual occasions or you could make it a little dressier depending on how you style it. I probably could size down as the fit is pretty loose in the body, but I have big arms and am afraid the sleeves would start feeling to tight if I did that. If I wear this to work, I'd definitely wear a tank underneath, but otherwise, a nude bra would suffice IMO.
FP IS AMAZING
What can I say about this top other than it is impossible to go wrong with it? It is really stylish, the material is light, great for spring, summer and beginning of fall. I ordered the blue one and is just gorgeous. I am 5'7" about 140 pounds. I normally wear sizes 6 or 8 (S/M) but tops always like to wear little bit bigger so I ordered L and I can tell you is really roomy. I could down size to M but I will keep the L one.
I purchased this shirt in the neutral color and am considering buying the blue also. I love it so much, its so comfortable on, and while it is loose fitting and has a cowl neck, the shirt is constructed and stitched to look more like a collarless blouse. For this reason, it looks great for work (I don't have a dress code at work but always want to look clean and put together). I wear it with black skinny/straight jeans and a loafer, and its everything...
