Adorable, but super short

This skirt is so cute, and I hate to return it, but it's so short. Granted, I'm tall and I hold a lot of my weight in my butt and thighs, but it looks a LOT shorter on me than it does on the model. And yet it fits perfectly around my waist, so I didn't want to size up. I wish I could keep it because it's such a gorgeous, rich denim and a perfect transitional style that could work for spring, summer, fall and winter (either on its own with a light tee or tank top, or layered with a sweater and tights)... but alas, I must send it back.

I have been looking for one of these for a long time, and this is a great skirt! I generally wear a 2 or 4 in FP bottoms, and I went for the 4 as I wanted a bit of wiggle room for possible shrinking in wash. Highly recommend! I got the dark color and I am so happy with it. Can be work all year round

Not for me

I already have a denim pencil skirt that I have to feel really skinny to wear well, and so I was looking for something a little more casual and forgiving. I ordered up (normally a 4 in FP, got a 6) and this design doesn't work, in my opinion, for the baggy look. Def order to size or even down – it really needs to sit on your waist to look right. I considered exchanging for a 4, but I also just feel like this skirt isn't doing me any favors, if that makes sense? Like, the buttons right over my abdomen are going to accentuate any menstrual bloating or anything, you know. It's just not ever going to be a go-to, like I was hoping. Oddly, though, I can see this skirt really flattering either someone much skinnier than me or someone bigger. Go figure.
