Crochet lace paper bag skort featuring pleat detailing. Hip pockets and an adjustable waist tie. Hidden back zip.
I wanted to have some summery pieces in my wardrobe as I am lacking this and thought this garment would suffice. I was still a little unsure about the garment when I purchased it, however, once it arrived I was pleasantly surprised. ( I got the eggshell.) I hadn't realized the skort was high waisted- something which I love- and the fabric was amazing quality. I do wish I had sized down as I am never sure with some of the Free People clothes. I don't know if this is because I have an hourglass figure and thus a really small waist but the garment was rather loose and there was lots of room around this area. Thankfully I am able to tighten it using the belt and although this does cause the fabric to bunch up a bit around the belt, it doesn't really bother me. All in all, the Skort is comfortable and gives of a chic vibe which I love. It is a probably more casual than I'm used to but I like that I have the option of dressing it up or down. My only challenge is finding something to pair it with!
This skort looks absolutely fabulous in the photos, and I have the same body type and size as the model, so I figured that's how it would look in person... It's EXTREMELY baggy and poofy. Seriously like wearing bloomers! I got the navy color, which I'm guessing is way more attractive than the egg shell, because white poofy shorts would look pretty ridiculous. They are sort of high waisted, which is what I wanted. But I ordered a small, and when I tie the bow around my waist, the skort bunches up because it is too big, and has too much fabric around the waist. You can sort of see this happening to the model too if you look carefully. It's cute enough though - but I would not recommend these if you're pear shaped.
