Lacey Denim Cutoff Shorts styled by the FP Me community
I purchased these in stark black 27 and aero 28; I am typically a size 4/6 with 28" waist, 38" hips and a 21" thigh# The 28s fit best, but the 27s in stark black fit pretty well, too# Aero wash is a little stiff, and I think the black is softer with more stretch# I did not find an issue with the leg fit on either pair, but I will say that the openings do not stretch due to the lace being attached# The fit is very flattering# I am short waisted so the band sits just below my navel #it's probably why I was able to fit in a smaller size## The inseam is short yet my tush is covered = magic. Now all I need is some warm weather!
Super cute, but with usual denim short problems
I adore the lace edges on these shorts and I especially like that they're semi-high waisted, but.... Like all denim shorts, they ride up a bit! It's can be very uncomfortable. Lots of points for fashion; no points for comfort.
I have these in both the light denim, and the black. I buy this short every summer in multiple shades because I love it so much. Looks great anywhere and has the perfect rise. I really love the black wash ones!!!
The Best Shorts I Own
I got these last year for my birthday (I wouldn't spend $88 on shorts when I only get to wear them for 3 months, I live in a cold place). But these shorts are literally the only ones I wear, they're super flattering and I get compliments on them all the time and they look great with anything. I went up a size because they're high-waisted and I wanted them to be more comfortable when I sit. Also, these cover my entire butt which is an issue with high-waisted shorts. Bottom line, buy these shorts. They are the essential summer wear and I've owned them for over a year and they're still in perfect condition.
best purchase- a classic
these are the best go-to shorts. so comfortable and reliable. they go with almost anything! ive had the same pair for 2 years in daisy wash and just bought another pair in stone black. so stoked! would def recommend to anyone who is looking at them. the fit is true to size as well.
Everyone should own a pair of these! They're so cute and make any outfit look amazing! The sizing however is a little weird. I have the Daisy Wash and the Stone Black. The Daisy wash fits true to size, whereas the Stone wash runs a little big. I have the daisy in my usual 28 and the stone black in size 27. The material used for the stone black is definitely a more soft and stretchy material than the daisy wash which is a true non stretchy denim material. Other than the sizing, these shorts are a must have for an free people lover!
These are by far the best shorts I've ever had. They fit perfectly and are super comfortable. They have a bit of stretch in them. I wear them a bit higher waisted. I bought them in black and will now buy them in white!
LOVE this shorts. Have 4 colors!
I love these shorts so much, I have them in four colors. I've worn my first pair at least 20 times. I've gotten stains on them and they always come out, they go fine in the washer and they're a relaxed fit. You never have to worry about your butt coming out like some shorts and they're not too high of a rise. Perfect!!
Runs a little big
I have these in the daisy wash and I love the color, and style of these shorts. They seem to run a touch large for me (sort of baggy in the front). I don't mind them being a bit roomy, and I ordered my usual jean size. I'm always bending/squatting to play with my son so the fact that they aren't tight is a bonus for me. I might size down if I bought these in another wash to see if I like the fit a little better! Love pairing these with a peasant top and ankle boots!
