one of a kind!
I have been eyeing this for a while to wear in a wedding and thought it is worth to try when I saw that it dropped to $99, I am glad I did! Nothing much to say, pictures of the model and reviewers tell everything: very true to pictures, no surprises. I am a tiny woman (5'3'', 95 lbs, 32B) so it runs slightly big on me on my chest, but it can never fall of because it sits very nicely on your waist thanks to sidebones and sculpted texture of the top part. I plan to wear a bra to make my chest look fuller, but you definitely need nothing like bra with this dress, it is very sculpted on top as I said. It runs long on me a bit even with heels, but it has a raw edge which can be trimmed quite easily with no damage to the dress. It is a steal to have a silk dress like this one for just $99 and it looks amazing when combined with a dark-gold clutch and heels and gold-toned jewellery. Definitely unique!
Minnie Mouse went to India
I am giving this dress 4 stars even though I returned it because the idea is interesting it fits pretty much true to size and the fabric is comfortable. So the design is pretty neat you have the choice to have a short or long dress. The extra fabric is attached with press stud, so it does involve a little work to morph it. The short dress was a little too minnie mouse for me and adding the length just didn't work for my body type. Just felt like I was playing dress up. The ultimate problem of that dress is the top part has little "mirrors" that make the top part look spotted with silver while the rest of the dress has gold... to me it just looked off. I guess it is one of those garments that works for some and just look weird for others. If you can pull this look power to you I didn't! For size reference I bought the size 0, I am 5'1 90lbs.
Great to have a Twofer
I ordered the dress because I liked the fact that it could detach at the bottom to become a mini. For someone like me, who's 5' 4", this dress is way too long. You'll have to wear it as a mini because there's no way to take up the dress due to the type of fabric it's made out of. True to a lot of FP dresses, the edges also remained un-hemmed, which is somewhat problematic because as it drags, it gets looser. That being said, LOVE LOVE LOVED the mini. The dress is worth getting just to have the mini dress. And even long, it's very flattering. You just need to be on the taller side.
