I wanted to love them, but they fit very odd. They fit okay in the waist (size 26), but the back rise was way too high and seam is puckering on the back. You can see it on the 3rd photo on the model. Not very flattering on my booty. Sadly, these have to go back.
These pants are gorgeous in person, but they had to go back for me. Really great color, perfect amount of fringe but the hips are too big and the ankle or leg openings are too small. It feels (and looks) more like harem pants on me (5'1 tall) than boyfriend jeans. I do not recommend for petite frames.
perfet addition to my wardrobe.
I received these yesterday. I wasn't totally sure what to expect in sizing wise from other reviews. As it turns out I love them besides the very bottom which with a couple mins at the sewing machine can't be fixed. I sized down. Except they have the boyfriend look being baggy in the butt area and the saltiness in the crouch area. They rest of the way they fit just comfy but not baggy all the way to the ankles where they sort of flare out. To look good they need some taking in just about 2". They look good rolled up but down kinda odd. So I figure a bit if tailoring to make them match the rest of the way their made they'll be perfect. The holes in the k eyes are huge and there's a lot of the distressed material hanging off but their really cute and comfortable. The back pockets are huge but I don't mind that experience silly since they bag down . I think if they hung a bit more on the waist they'd look even better. But all in all I'm happy with them. We'll see how they hold up to washing. I would've never paid full price for these and even the sale price might be a bit steep being the way their made but the material feels like true old Jean style not the stretch style which I don't really like and it's hard to find good jeans made that feel like old style jeans these days. So I'd recommend these if you don't mind maybe doing a bit of tailoring or the huge holes. Their really great for bunny days. Just have that unique style that my friends love so much on me. So their definitely fitting into my style perfectly. I got a 29 usually a 30 fits me better especially in One Teaspoon jeans but the 29 is perfect.
LOVE these--PERFECT Boy destroyed jeans!
I have been searching for years for the perfect "boyfriend" destroyed FP jeans! For me, these are it--no stretchy areas to ruin the ripped details and the fit is"boyfriend"--baggie and low riding on the hips!! I feel like those people that are truly looking for a boyfriend fit--will adore these--sizing is quirky and I adjusted up because I wanted the legs to be roomy! I'm normally a 27 in One Teaspoon brand but I got a 29 so these would be really baggie--I'm happy I did--the waist lays low on my hip and the rest are baggie but don't overwhelm my petite figure---I may buy the light blue too--they are a great find--especially at half the retail price! My search for the perfect destroyed boyfriend is finally over! ENJOY!
HIGH HOPES LOOKS LIKE YOU TOOK A DUMP
I was so excited to purchase these on sale plus get them for an additional 20% off. I ordered both a 28 and 29 to make sure I got the right size. I am normally a 29 in FP, but in One Teaspoon in the boyfriend I am usually a 28. I pulled them out of hte box and they are super cute, and the color (I got the light wash) is identical to the photo....until I put them on. I don't understand how these look good on anyone!!! There is material that is sew (probably a good foot) from the inside of your thighs to the crotch. This extra material looks like you have man parts in the front, and looks like you took a dump in the back. Now, if you buy a bigger size and take them to a seamstress and get that material taken off they would be the PERFECT boyfriend jeans. I wasn't going to spend the extra money to do this, but just a thought. They are a higher rise which I like and they are higher in the back then the front. TRUST ME on this DO NOT BUY, and I am sure they pulled the front on the model's picture so you can't see the baggage in the back.
Runs Large / Runs Small in Legs
For reference, I'm 5'4", 120 lbs. I'm a size 27 in Free People jeans typically, but upon reading the other review, I decided to size down and ordered a 26 in Wolf Blue. (I do own one other pair of jeans from FP that are a size 26, so I figured why not.) The issue here is with the waist being loose on me, but the legs/inseam being super tight. The wash is also lighter than pictured. I was so, so excited about these jeans, but I'll be returning as they don't stay up on my waist. Still on the lookout for perfect, distressed boyfriend jeans... Sigh.
CUTE but wayyyyy toooo BIG!
I fall in love when I saw this boyfriend jeans online and ordered size 24 which is my true size. The color, the washing detail, and the length was perfect but the FIT! It was way too big around the waist. I tried to wear it with a belt but I looked like if I was wearing a size 32 jeans. If they had a size 23, I would def buy it but it was very unfortunate that I had to return it. ;(
