read the title & measurements!
O.k. so, to the two reviewers who complained about the "shiny gold thread", that's what lurex is. It blows my mind that the word for metallic thread is in the garment's title and people are still surprised that there is metallic thread throughout. hahahaha! Aaaanyway, I thought this was actually pretty cute. It definitely runs very oversized, but all you have to do is read the listed measurements to know that. I suggest that every person out there measure themselves with a measuring tape so that they aren't so taken aback when purchasing clothing. The small is listed as having a 62 inch bust, which is gigantic, so there should be no surprises there. I am usually a large (size 12) and am 5'5". I sized all the way down to a small and could have even gone to an extra small. I wore it as a dress with the sleeves rolled up and little layering shorts underneath from the intimates line. I paired it with Freebird boots, some bangles and midi rings, and a long necklace with a large pendant to balance out the volume of the garment and it's really cute styled that way. I wouldn't have paid full price, but at $49, it was worth it. My advice to people in the future: #1 if you see a word in the title that you're unfamiliar with (like "lurex"), google it so that you won't be surprised/disappointed by what you get and #2 become familiar with your measurements and also with measurements in general so that when you see something with a 62 inch bust, you will know that that is the equivalent to like a xxxl in typical sizing (again, so you won't be surprised/disappointed by your purchases).
Nothing like the picture
It's honestly not that cute in person, and it has shiny gold threads in it. It might be doable if it wasn't so HUGE. I am always an XS and I can appreciate the baggy look, but this piece might as well be a Large on me. There is nothing cute about it. It's not even worth the sale price of less than $40 that I paid. Honestly, I'm upset that I even paid that. And returning is a pain, because I had it shipped from a store. To top it all off, one of the threads is pulled and it made a little hole in the dress. The fabric isn't see-through because of the color, but it is ultra thin and clearly way too delicate. I buy from Free People often, and this is the first time that I've felt so negatively about one of their pieces.

Long Sleeve Lurex Yarn Dye shirt review
This shirt is very large, but I love it, because I can get a lot of use from it. I was initially torn between the red (which is rather bright), & the blue. I opted for the blue. I tried a S & it worked, but with the M, I can now wear it as a dress, or a tunic with jeans/shorts/pants. I appreciate the subtleties of the yarn in the blue top. The red isn't bad if you like a pop of color. I hope this helps !
Large and in charge
This shirt is ginormous. GINORMOUS. I put on an XS, my usual for FP loose fitting clothes and it was pretty voluminous. I spent a while trying to get it to look "effortless" and really, it looks huge no matter what. I did find that rolling the sleeves helps. I tried on the red which has VERY shiny gold lurex, but I actually really liked it. A vintage vibe and unique. It's because of the fabric that I might consider buying this if it ever goes on sale. However, until then, it's just too big for full price.
I just got this tunic in the mail and, unfortunately, it looks like I'm going to have to return it. First off, I purchased the XS and it's HUGE. It's not flattering at all and looks like I put on a large shirt. I got the champagne combo and there's little gold patterns in it that make it look cheesy, which the pictures don't demonstrate. Sadly, this was a big fail for me and will be going back.
