beautiful but not quality
This top is stunning in person. It really its. Its oversized without the bulk, so a busty petite woman like myself can pull it off. A quality piece, however, it is not. I bought a lurex top from Free People way back in 2010 that I've worn to death that I still have sitting in my closet. It was the first ever Free People item I ever bought, and its quality and how well it has held up is the reason I've kept buying Free People items. The lurex on that top is still holding strong after 5 years, a bit discolored in certain areas, and some of the gold has escaped over the years, but it still looks beautiful and stunning. This top, by contrast, made out of paper thin material. Next to my old dearly loved Free people lurex top from 2010, it looks incredibly cheap and poorly made. I am still debating what to do with this new lurex top as it looks stunning on me, but I know it won't last longer than six months. And that is sad. If you are looking for quality, this piece isn't it. And for that I am disappointed.
I have this shirt in a Small in Ivory. I'm generally a small at Free People. It fits very well EXCEPT the arms; like, the armpit seam. It's so small, I'm afraid I'm going to tear it. I'm only 5'4", a size 6. Fairly small. The shirt is fragile and so beautiful, but I don't think I'll ever wear it because the arms are so snug. Too bad :( My boyfriend said it looks like "an angel's dress". Someone with slimmer arms would love it.
