Really comfortable and cute dress for everyday, the fabric's soft and not too thin, so it's perfect for autumn or spring. It runs a bit loose, but it's supposed to be that way and it adds to its charm. Usually I get XS on FP dress and tunics because that's the size that looks better on me, but most of the time they're too short (I'm 5'7) so I have to wear a slip or shorts underneath. This is one of those very few dresses that are not too short for me, which is really nice.

Fine for the sale price

I'm 5'6" and 142 pounds. I bought the small. It's big and pretty shapeless. And the V neck is cut pretty low. Might have to pin that a bit. On the up side, it's comfortable. So I'm keeping it. Shapeless or not. I got the purple color and it's color is okay. Seems a bit deeper and brighter in the pic, but I'm not bummed about slight color dif's. So I'll keep it for the good sale price and for days I want to be very comfy.

This is such a easy dress to wear. I purchased it in the Chai color. Great to wear with leggings and boots in the fall or as a short dress in the summer with gladiator sandals. So versatile, thanks Free People!

Beautiful Easy to Wear Dress

I love it. For anyone worrying about "steaming and ironing", I would suggest that you put these items in the dryer with a couple of damp towels. Spin them for a bit - GREAT results. this dress arrived wrinkled and I wore it within the hour. Beautiful colour and so comfortable. I wear my fp lace slip with it or my black slip and skiinny jeans, since it is winter. However, in the summer I will wear it alone. Thanks Free People - great website and good service. Kathryn

No shape runs very large

When I received the dress it looked nothing like it does on the model. It has no shape to it and runs extremely large. I'm just about 5'4 and its also much shorter than depicted. I will be keeping it because a high waisted belt above the first ruffle really saves it for me. Size down ladies and if your already a xs like me have a belt handy.

Ok but expected better

I got this in the huckleberry colour but my order ended up saying plum/prune and the colour I received is not a deep purple as pictured but more of a burgundy colour. Seems to be a cross between what is pictured and the port wine colour on offer? I followed the other reviewer and sized down to XS and it fits just fine, although the elastic around the wrists is a tad tight. The picture online seems to show a sheen , more luxurious look but the dress is simply jersey, rather plain and more casual than expected. The neck line is nice just disappointed with the quality & colour. I'm 5"6 132 Ibs and usually wear small in FP

On the fence ...

I had been looking for a dress I could wear with leggings that is stylish and comfortable, and this one stuck out. I am on the fence about keeping it because it is wider than I hoped, and belting it will pull the bottom up a little too far. While I really like the idea of this dress, it might not be the look I was hoping for.

I purchased this in Taupe and have already worn it several times. It does run big like most FP beach items, so I would recommend sizing down. I love how this dress is so simple to wear and easy to accesorize without going overboard. I love the FP collection for this reason, and look forward to purchasing more items from it :) It is a great transition piece from winter to spring, but it can really be worn all seasons. The only not so great thing about the dress is that the sleeves and hem of the dress gets frayed with wear and wash; therefore, just be careful not to snag anything and always wash on delicates :)
