Love the paisley flares

As other reviewers said, these run large, so sizing down may be a good idea. I usually wear 29, and ordered both 28 and 29 to be sure [my local store never got these in so I could try for sizing]. I am keeping the 28. But, I noticed that the fit of the 28 antique is different from the 28 night. I ordered both colors. The antique runs larger. Interesting, I noticed this in the model pictures shown for this product on the website. The antique looks looser around the hips than the dark color. Also, the antique color in person looks more like a beige/ light tan shade. I know the colors on the monitor of the computer don't always look accurate --but I was expecting a lighter shade in the antique. Not that's it ugly. But I was a bit unprepared for this beige shade. The color scheme overall is pretty and yes, very antique looking. The dark (night) is pretty. I didn't think that it looked faded or dingy (another reviewer said it was too faded). Mine had a good color to it, with a nice sharp contrast. I may end up keeping only the dark(night) because of the better fit. I somehow find it sinful to spend close to $90 per pair for corduroy pants (I know, it's sale. . .) but I get spoiled when I can find super flares or other cords or denim in my local FP for a much lower sale price... :-( Anyhow, this is just me. BUT, yes, they are long! On me, the stubby 5.4, they are really long, and I will have to cut and hem them (as I always have to with FP pants), and this will take away part of that bottom feather print which is so pretty. :-( Did these ever come in petite? I wonder. I very rarely see petite sizes in corduroys and denim. Maybe they don't last through the sale... Hey, Free People: let us the shorties enjoy some freedom... Give us some cool pants for our measure.

Lovely

These pants are so beautiful and I got compliments everywhere I went by people I know and complete strangers. I ordered the antique color and love the dark ivory color of the base and the muted print. The printed colors match many of the free people tops I already own so matching these pants with something is so easy to do. The length is very long for me. I am 5'6" and I wear them with my 5 inch platform heals but they make my legs looks so long! I also can wear either a 26 or 27 in Free People pants and based on the reviews I ordered the smaller size 26. They fit perfect across my curvy behind and small waistband. The pants are very fine cord material and have a nice bit of stretch to them so they hold their shape nicely. The material is also on the lighter side so I will be able to wear them in the spring and into the summer with a lighter top. If you are considering these I would highly suggest them for a nice unique addition to your wardrobe.

Cute pants, run very large

The colors are little off, seem lighter than the pictures, but still very pretty. Busy, but interesting design. I ordered size 29, and they are at least one size too big. They fit very loose, but they look good. I just did not order a loose fit, sizes are off. I am 6' tall, the length is perfect. I cannot give 6 starts because of the misleading size.

Where does it say that they are cords?

Seriously... I hate cords, just an opinion: they are too stretchy and don't bounce back like your jeans fabric. I would never have ordered these if the description mentioned that they are corduroy. Otherwise, the print on the fabric is beautiful.

These are my favorite pants I own and true attention getters. At 5'9", 135 lb, normal size 6 the FP size 29 that I ordered fit perfectly. I followed the measurement provided by FP. They are cords, but not a problem. The flare is huge, but that's what makes them cool. They are long. I have to wear the highest heals I own so the pants don't drag. Again, not a problem. I purchased the belt shown in the picture to go with the pants. It's a great ensemble. The only thing noteworthy about the two items worn together is that the belt sits on top of the pants not hooked to anything. When I sat down the pants went lower than the belt and every time I stood up I had to fix the bunching in the back. That doesn't deter me from wearing the ensemble at all. Great pants and belt!

They're cords, and they run huge

I ordered these in night. I'm usually between a 29 and a 30 in FP denim, and based on the product measurements, I ordered a 30. When they showed up today, I was surprised by the fact that they're made of corduroy instead of denim, they run very, very large, and they look faded and dingy compared to the product photographs. Also, the flares are HUGE. As in, so huge, it's difficult to walk in them. If you want to give these a try, size down, and keep in mind that the material is not as advertised. I've had all kinds of trouble with inconsistent sizing and quality issues with FP shorts and pants this summer, and am really disappointed overall.
