Lisa Boepens is a San visual artist whose work centers on the natural world — flora, animals, and the land as lived knowledge. Working primarily in oil and watercolor on paper, her paintings draw on close observation and cultural memory, rendering plants and wildlife not as distant subjects but as familiar presences.
Proud Mary acquired this original work through Omba Arts Trust, an organization that since 2002 has worked alongside emerging San artists in remote regions of Namibia.
This print is inspired by Maria’s original painting, Birds Are Catching Flying Ants After The Rain
Omba Arts Trust receives 15% royalties on every print sold.
