This fine art print is inspired by ‘Hombre,’ an original work by Suytik, a collective of Tsotsil women weavers from San Andrés Larráinzar in Chiapas, Mexico. Made up of multiple generations of the López Díaz family, Suytik embodies a living tradition of backstrap weaving, passed down since childhood as part of daily life and cultural identity. Each woman contributes her own unique style and creative vision, sustaining and evolving their Tsotsil heritage through their craft. Each Proud Mary print is made using archival inks on museum-quality cotton rag paper. The original artists receive a 15% royalty on every sale, creating passive income while honoring their creative contribution.
