I always love the FP slips because they are so soft and feel great on. I am a texture person!!! This slip dress is a bit see through but nothing outlandish. I am happy I added this to my FP collection. My stats: 5'2 125-130# Athletic build. 32-28-38 I always wear an XS in FB dresses & skirts, Small in pants.

Cheap Look and Feel/ Poor fit

I was initially sooo excited about this dress in black. Typically I spend almost the whole summer in the Tattered Slip or the Eyelash Slip. I own each in several colors and I also own the long crochet hem slip. Point being, I had the reasonable expectation that the material and quality would be approximately the same and also that the description would be accurate. I was so incredibly disappointed when this arrived because I could tell that it had potential to be one of those dresses you wear 1,000 different ways but FP just blew it with the quality of the material AND the measurements. For reference I am 5'3" and 110/bra size 34C. I tied the top both ways. I even tried to wear it "backward" at one point. It was so flimsy and cut so far IN at the chest that saying there was too much side boob is the understatement of the century. I figured, no worries, a brallette will solve that- no dice, any way you wore it, so much of the bra was showing that it completely ruined the look of the dress entirely, not to mention that even w the XS the material puckered out on the sides beneath each boob (sorry!). In addition, the front of the dress was ridiculously short. I need to stress that I am NOT that conservative when getting dressed, especially in flirty little summer dresses- so the fact that I thought there was a ridiculous amount of skin showing in addition to the lousy fit is saying ALOT. Lastly, (sorry, but this type of this in addition to lousy client service and return policies has been happening with FP WAY too much lately - so if a long review saves someone a return, I wish I had read it) the material was unacceptable. The eyelash lace slip, the tattered slip and others are made of the perfect material- this was MUCH thinner, I mean, A LOT! In addition, even the strings were of a much lesser quality then on the other slips and I was so afraid they'd rip every time I pulled them to try a different fit. This dress was back in the bag to be returned the same day it arrived. I also found out that day that they have the nerve to charge for your return. Bottom line, if you care nothing at all about the quality of the material, and you have extremely small breasts that you can put tape over and you're about 5'-5'1", maybe you'd want to try it. I was dying to wear this to 100 things this summer- I'm seriously, really disappointed.

I ummed and ahhed over this dress for so long, would it hang too low on the sides or just be a big bag on me as I'm a lot shorter than the model?? etc. Then as Summer hit I realised I didn't have any cool party dresses for festive season and with the hot weather this looked cool n comfortable, so I went for it. So glad I did! I bought the S and at 5'3 it works just fine. It is a bit big and roomy but the weight of the ruffle material keeps it hanging down and not puffing out or looking shapeless. I could go an XS for a more fitted look and may try that in the black Hits just above my knee with the strings loose around the neck, ie lower drop than on this pic. You easily adjust the string around the neck. And a little trick, if you moisturise around your chest the string doesn't slip at all. You can actually make it square neck design instead of just a halter and it will stay in place. The material is nice and soft and also will adhere to the bra, so it doesn't travel sideways either (am a 36c) Wear this with a pink or grey gallon lace bra to cover and side ribbage you don't want or you can tie it up high & tight around the neck for a shorter dress and better side boob cover. -Got the taupe and its gorgeous. Richer / bit darker than this pichure and its beautiful. Love this little dress its gonna get a lot of wear this summer.
