Lightweight semi-sheer trapeze style slip pieced with lace detailing. Racerback.
Really pretty slip
This is a roomy and cool layering piece. I love the pink color and though I am not sure how I will wear this, it has lots of options. It is roomy especially in the back. I don't know how flattering it is on someone short like me, but I can't wait to wear this in the spring. It runs big, so size down. I most likely will wear with skinny jeans and cardigan over. I recommend for the price - for sure.
Funny fit. Not that great
Compare to the Trapeze, which never goes on sale and most people find overpriced, I find this slip reasonable at the sale price, not at all at its original price. The blue is more muted and washed out in person, not really like the blue in the picture, but still a nice shade. The fabric is ok. Stretch just a little bit and not too flimsy. The fit, though, is strange. I order my usual xs, and it's huge from the chest down, but the collar is rather tiny. Because of the extreme flare, it looks funny around the neck. Because of that it doesn't go nice with any outer layer that has a wide neckline. You neck and top part will look horrid, so I'm not sure it's really a great choice. On its own, it looks ok though. It needs underneath layer for sure if worn as a top. Not as versatile as I hoped. A bit disappointing, but I'll keep it still.
I had been eyeing this slip for a while so when it went on sale, I excitedly ordered it. Got the slip today and unfortunately will be sending it back. From the pictures on the website, it looks roomy, which would be fine, but the XS looks like much larger on me than I expected. Too tent-like and not in a positive way. I don't even see how it would work for layering on me. Disappointing.
I ordered this slip online because I loved the lace detailing and the blue color looked really pretty, and I'm a really big fan of the voile lace trapeze slip, but it was kind of disappointing in person. It's way roomier than I thought it would be, pretty boxy. I'm 5'3, average build, and I got the small for reference. I'm keeping it because I got it on sale for a really great price, but if I had bought it for full price, I'd return it. Not my favorite!
I bought this in medium which was a perfect fit as the dress is a loose style . Lovely for summer days and holidays . I bought this in pale pink . Well made and very cool in looks and fit
I'm a big fan of the Voile and Lace trapeze slip so I thought I would give this one a try. I love it so much! It's super flowy and I love the high neck line. I wear a M in the voile and lace slip so I got an M in this as well. It is very sheer, so you can't really wear this slip alone, but with the lacy areas showing you would have to wear something under it anyway. The only thing I noticed is that the actual lace is stiff, but it doesn't bother me all that much.
Great Wardrobe Staple
I've tried a lot of slips from FP & must say this is my new favorite. I ordered it in a L instead of my usual M bc I wanted it to be on the longer side & sometimes I've found FP slips run a little small... for reference, I'm 5'4" w/ 36DD chest. It's definitely short.. I would say it's closer to being a tank than a dress. I'd recommend sizing up like I did if you want it to be longer bc there doesn't seem to be a major difference between sizes. The material is soft & seems to be of good quality. The lace detailing on the sides is also a very nice touch. I think it looks especially great worn with skinny jeans/leggings, over another tank top, & under open flannels... awesome layering piece! I ordered it in both colors & would highly recommend it! Wish it came in more colors..
This slip is by far my favorite of all my Free People slips. It is the right length and the perfect style for so many things. Either underneath something, or over jeans or capris with a sweater on top....it's just the thing you need in your closet. I bought a large in both the peach and the black and they fit great...I am a medium to a large in clothing. I highly recommend this piece...it is one of their better ones for sure.
