Stunning vintage-inspired sheer floral lace gown with flutter sleeves trimmed in eyelash lace, flattering scoop back, and a dramatic floor-sweeping tiered hem. Includes a tonal slip with a strappy floor-length silhouette.
Unlike others, I think this dress is beautiful for the price. Other lace dresses I looked at were well over $1000 which I didn't want to spend for my wedding. I ordered an XS but normally wear size small. I'm a very average 5'3", 115lbs. Admittedly, alterations are needed: it is see-through so I am having nude bra cups sewn in, it needs to be shortened (expected), one shoulder falls off and it gaps a tiny bit at my lower back. The slip is snug but fits perfect in my opinion.
do not buy this dress
Most definitely do not buy this dress for $500. I purchased this as a potential wedding dress candidate in white and will be returning it as soon as I can. I don't think free people could have found a lower quality fabric. This nylon/spandex blend "lace"(if you can call it that) looks as if it were fashioned from a cheap lingerie bag or college dorm mesh laundry sack. The collar features a surged edge, the same you would find on a cheap t shirt. Whoever thought they could get away with pricing this dress at $500 must not have actually had the garment in their hands to see and touch. It looks and feels nothing like the way it's styled in the photographs and has made me seriously reconsider purchasing dresses from free people in the future.
Gorgeous but low quality
This dress is beautiful, absolutely stunning. However, I will have to return it. Even with the included slip, the dress is incredibly shear! I am normally a small and ordered this in a medium. The slip is almost too tight. Then the lace overlay is too big and it is too long. At 5' 7'' things are never long on me. The shape of the lac overlay is very cut and due to the large size does not stay on your shoulders and falls down as soon as you slouch even slightly! The seam on the slip seems off, as it doesn't follow the lines of my body, but rather curves in a not-sewed-right way. On top of all this, the second time I tried the dress on the strap in the slip broke! For $500, this is not okay!
