The perfect plaid buttondown in an oversized and effortless silhouette. Super soft with front bust pockets and hip pocket detailing. Rounded hem and side vents.
I'm usually a medium in FP tops and dresses, and the reviews said it runs a bit large, so I figured it would be a safe bet to order a medium. When it arrived, I saw that some threads were pulled out, seemingly snagged on something before arriving at my door. I have experience with garment repair, so I didn't think much of it. Threads can be pulled back in, an easy repair. As I put it on, I noticed that there was a tear on the back shoulder seam. Tears at the seam are easily fixed, so I didn't think too much about that either. I buttoned up and looked in the mirror. The shoulders are indeed too tight, the arms too short, and the hips too narrow to be sized as a medium. All of these flaws are not such a big deal if you get the garment at a bargain, but that's not the case here. I thought this looked so cute and cozy, and I eagerly awaited its arrival. I would be interested to try on a size up if the garment arrived undamaged. I'll have to return this before it dissolves!

"Go to" Winter favorite
Hard to find something warm & cozy that's sexy too. Runs true to size. However, if you are between sizes, opt for the smaller size & you will not be disappointed. I am 5' 6", 120 lbs., 34D & hips 33/34. Went with small & it is PERFECT. (Fitting & hitting very similarly to FP model in pic)
I really thought I was going to love this top, but I just don't. The material is strangely drapey in a synthetic feeling kind of way, which was disappointing because I was hoping for something thick and woodsy feeling that would hold more structure. It's also sized very small compared to other FP items. I frequently wear a S or XS in FP tops, but the S was too tight in the shoulders for me. Overall, the look is nice, but not worth the price. It's going back. For reference, I am 5'8'', 127lbs and I got the midgnight color size S.
Street Talker buttondown
The color is nice and so is the fabric. It looked good on and was so excited after waiting awhile to get mine.. But when I tried it own, I notice something while looking in the mirror, on the shoulder. I took it off to check and it was a snag and hole.. I was so bummed out.. and for the price it really disappointed me... and then you pay shipping on top of that.. I had to send it back of course..

It came in the mail smelling like someone wore it!
I had ordered this online and it was sent out of a Boston store and it reeked of perfume as if someone wore it for awhile. I can't imagine how something so expensive can come slightly used! I love it so I'll keep it, but the issue for paying for someone else's scent on it is disgusting! I'm very disappointed that I was sent it that way, I'm starting to rethink shopping here anymore because it's just ongoing bad customer service!

great versatile piece!
it's a shirt or a jacket or a dress or maybe even a robe. can be worn with tights, leggings, skinny jeans,boots,heels,flats...the fabric is warm and soft, looks like expensive wool but is acrylic so no itch or dry cleaning bill. I just ordered the other color too!
I loves it...
I have quite a bit of free people in my closet, I would say probably 80% of my wardrobe is free people. A lot of the times with free people, an item will look good, but the quality is laughable and not worth the price. Once you funnel through the poor quality over priced things, you can find well made, beautiful timeless pieces which is why I keep coming back. This is one of those pieces. It's nice and thick and very well made and warm! Warmth is important to me because I live North Of The Wall! know this will be in my closet for years to come therefore it is worth every penny. It fits perfect. I am usually an extra small in free people and an extra small would have been fine with this, but I preferred this particular piece to be a little bigger. The small doesn't look too big on me, t's just right for the look I want. I could have gone with either size though. This is the perfect piece for fall/winter. I loves it.
Fantastic plaid shirt
I bought this shirt in store and am so glad I did, I normally order online as I'm in the UK and thank goodness London has now got a free people in Selfridges. I had been looking at this shirt for a while on the website but what I realised in store is that they all vary a bit in colour pattern. I got the midnight colour and I love the one I got so much but the other ones all varied a lot. Mine has more burgundy and charcoal in it one of the others had much more pale grey. It is a stunning soft but substantial shirt and I am so pleased with it but think it's one you need to see and choose your colour way preference. I got a medium and it is slouchy enough without being too big. I normally go small or medium depending on the item. It looks much more expensive than it is. I know I will wear it lots.
