Go to jacket!
I'm broad shouldered, about 120 lbs and bought the XS, fits perfect! Love the buttons, makes it unique. And having broader shoulders, I'm always struggling with the fact the most cute jackets are too bulky in the shoulders, making you feel like a football player. This jacket really FIT, I felt good in it, it's a keeper...
NIce Casual Jacket
I have this in the purple color and am considering getting it in the black for a more formal look. I think the jacket is roomy. I ordered a large, only because I am very broad shouldered and also wanted to be able to wear a sweater underneath if I wanted. I can do this. The sleeve is a little long, but I would prefer it to be a little bit long so I can roll it vs. too short. The material is soft but stiff, if that makes any sense. I have not yet had to wash it, so I cannot tell you how it does in the wash. However, the label says machine wash. With anything from FP, when I put it in the washer, depending upon the garment, I ALWAYS either lay it flat to dry or hang it. I usually also watch the cylcle. Becuase of the buttons on the jacket, I would probably also wash this on a lighter or delicate cycle.
My go-to jacket
This jacket is comfortable and stylish. Feminine with a slightly 'roughed up' look. Bit of fray on the cuffs, etc, but not to the extreme. Love the navy color. Nice enough for work (biz casual) and casual enough for the weekend. I'm drawn to it in my closet way too often. Perfecto!
Had to keep sizing down
I couldn't figure out why I couldn't make this jacket work. I'm usually a small in tops, size 6, and I ordered a medium, then a small, then finally an extra small and finally got it right. The sleeves and waist run long/big, and the structured look needed to be fitted in this case. There's stretch to it, so even though my shoulders are a little wider it's still comfortable. I'll probably just wear it with tanks and camis anyway, so I don't need it to be roomy for blouses underneath.
love the look!
I got the buckthorn brown and the color is exactly as it appears online. the perfect amount of distressed look to keep it edgy, I kept with my usual XS and with a 34c cup it still fits amazing. if you're going for a super crisp and professional look, then keep looking. this jacket is fun and super flattering.
Structured Washed Blazer
This jacket fits great and overall I like it quite a bit. However, the item as pictured does not show that this jacked is frayed and worn. The cuffs and edges in particular have holes and strings hanging. Nothing in the information and photos provided prepared me for a new jacket that looks like its old and worn out. This is my first purchase at Free People, and I am very disappointed in the high price for low quality. If this jacket actually looked new like the photographs, but "washed" as described, I would give it five stars, as it is I can only give it 1.
I absolutely love this jacket, but I bought it in the buckthorn brown and it is much more "distressed" than I saw in the photos. I don't think I can pull this look off. It fits adorably, (possibly a tad bit small but a M would be too big), feels great, the buttons and cut are very flattering, but I look like I just came off the battlefield of the Civil War in it. I wish I could keep this & wear it without feeling self conscious but I think I finally have to dress a bit more mature now that I'm over the hill. Sad. Great jacket if you like a heavily distressed look.
it is a good-looking blazer, but when i got my blue one today, there were many red painting stains on it. Looks like somebody already wore it.

Cute and chic
To start - I am 5' 11" and 145 pounds and I got the black in a medium. It fits well and I really like it, but be warned, the black colour in person is not as deep black as the photos. It's more like a faded/heavily washed black colour instead. The cut of this is really great, it flares out a bit at the bottom and the buttons are an excellent touch. The closures are underneath the chest, so if you're very chesty, something to keep in mind.
Iam 5'2", 32DDD and generally wear 28 or size 6 jeans, and S to M tops. The small jacket fits perfectly. I can button it, but I don't feel it is a flattering look for my short stature and large breasts, so I plan to leave it open. If you are concerned with buttoning the jacket comfortably, and you are DD+, I would try the medium at the same time to see which feels best. The sleeves rest slightly past my wrist, which I prefer anyway. You can easily roll up the sleeves comfortably because the jacket is soft and thin. It is a perfect material for Fall. There is enough room to wear a sweater or warm top underneath, as long as it isn't too bulky. The cut is perfect for my small frame and height. I am going to get another in black. I am always pleased with jackets by Free People.
