Detoxify the skin while naturally absorbing odor with this first-ever bamboo charcoal deodorant. Crafted from a blend of Certified Vegan ingredients, this aluminum-free formula uses a time-honored Japanese tradition to promote dryness while deodorizing.
I'd used deodorants ("natural" or not) for years that worked OK, but never well - cue the Takesumi. The "detox" thing is neither here nor there for me, but it works better than any deodorant I've ever used. It's not slimy, stays dry after I put it on, and even when I sweat, it keeps me smelling fresh. I did notice that it worked INCREDIBLY well for the first 7-10 days, then I started to notice I smelled a little sour at the end of the day. I've been using it for over a month and I'm back to smelling fresh and clean at the end of each day I use it. Many natural deodorants just make you smell like flowers or pine AND body odor - this one actually masks the smell, or keeps it from happening, entirely. The rose scent isn't artificial at all. It's just mildly sweet, truly rosy and very pleasant. The tube is also bigger than I'd expected! For the price, you really do get your money's worth. I'm about to order a few sticks as backup! It's a mainstay in my routine.
I've been using natural deodorant for awhile now and I decided to try this since I'm obsessed with trying new organic beauty options. The cold pressed rose doesn't really have a scent and when you sweat you can't smell it working. I've honestly never smelled worse. I'm not sure if I stuck with it long enough but figured the cold weather would be a nice time to take a chance. I don't think this will work at all for me in warm weather. Perhaps the other scents are a little stronger but I'm not planning on re-buying this. If you're patient and naturally un-smelly, you should give this a try.
best natural deodorant
If you recently switched from antiperspirant to natural deodorant, be patient and allow time for your body to detox. I am pretty health conscious, but antiperspirant was the last thing for me to give up. It took my body about 2 months (!) to detox from the build of antiperspirant in my underarms (eww). Despite trying a bunch of different natural deodorants, I had the worst body odor (my pet peeve) for weeks and my underarms were sweating like never before. I really liked Schmidt's but after a while I started to get a painful rash from it (part of my body's detoxing process??) so I had to keep looking. Then I tried Takesumi bamboo charcoal deodorant, and it has been working really well for me for about 3 months! It is very soothing on my skin, leaving no trace of body odor, and no stains or residue on my clothing. I have found my hippie deodorant and am so thankful I was patient with my body during the transition.
I started detoxing from deodorants with the one from Milk cosmetics but I began to feel a little of a burn sensation once i applied it. These ones are definitely the best ones I've tried so far, no burning at all, no stains on my clothes and they get me full protected even after exercise and sweat. The bamboo scent is really light and refreshing besides they last a lot since you only have to apply a thin layer. I already ordered 2 more to make sure i never run out.
