Gauzy cotton slouchy striped high rise trousers with button front closure and four pocket design. Frayed accents and tie belt included.
I had my eye on these for a long time and now I'm not sure they are even the same pants shown in the picture. First of all they are SO thin! Like my Dad's old used hanky thin. To the point of being a bit see-through. The fitting is super funky. I usually wear a sz 6 in fp, and it usually generous on me, but these seemed to fit "just right" w/pooches where the front pleating is. Just not flattering at all. The extra room in the crotch/inseam just doesn't look right on these when the rest of the pant fits tts - along w/the poochy pleats. So sad...think this is the lowest rating I've ever given a fp item. And don't even get me started on the price. Major flop.
What in tarnation?!
Okay, title may be a bit "out there" for non-Southern folk, but it is appropriate for this review. These pants were obviously tailored for the model. Not to be in any way egotistical or conceited, but I have a very slender build. I am 5'6", 115lbs, and I typically wear a size 0-4 (depending on what 'look' I am going for) in jeans and pants. I went with a size 4, because I wanted a loose fit, and it stated in the description that the model was wearing a size 6. Nope. Do not believe it. Lol. Okay, so the waist fit fine, the legs were tight, but the groin area (crotch and up, including the pockets) were SO baggy. It reminded me of awful harem pants (sorry if I offend!), but they look ridiculous. I had to roll them up 3x (left top button unbuttoned and then tied it) to get even a tad bit close to what I *assumed* I was ordered per the picture. Shoutout to FP: Please do not tailor clothes to the model's body, be realistic for pants that cost the same as my light bill! Extremely disappointed in the pants, and as mentioned in other reviews, the quality feels/seems pretty bad. Took them off almost as fast as I put them on. Pretty disappointing.
Basically, these pants are really weird. I am a size 2 or 4 in everything, and decided to order a 4 to make sure that they would fit loosely. When I got the pants and tried them on, they looked and felt like the most awkward pants I've ever had on. They were extremely tight in places that they're supposed to be loose (hips, legs) and very, very loose in the waist. Also, they are a lot more thin and "cheap" looking and feeling than I expected them to be. I feel like all FP items are either extreme hits or extreme misses; these pants are definitely misses.
I really wanted to like these pants...
I even returned my usual size (which I ordered initially) for one size up to see if the larger size would work. Unfortunately, I found them to be very unflattering. The pockets have lots of material and tend to stick out in the wrong places (if you wear the pants hiked up to the waist, they make your hips look larger; if you wears them low-rise and slouchy, they make your thighs look larger!) Unless you're very slender, beware. I will be returning these (for the SECOND time!!) Really disappointed.
U R gonna Love these Britches!!!!
Free People done it again!!! Made me spend more money!!! So adorable ! Material is light weight, but, that's good news for hot summer time! I sized up from 4 to 6 for slouchy look . 5ft. 3 in. ht., petite build.
