True wearable art from Mountain Artisans, this 1970s quilted patchwork maxi skirt will have heads turning! Skirt is very well made and has weight to it. Features a mx of corduroy cotton, cotton and rainbow grosgrain ribbon, floral corduroy waistband, hidden back center zipper closure topped off with 2 hook & eyes and is fully lined in cotton.

- History: Mountain Artisans was founded in 1968 as a non profit cooperative quilting business. Owned and operated by women in Appalachia West Virginia, they made the patchwork creations and turned a homemade skill into a movement. They closed in 1978 when Disco was all the rage and this style went out of favor.
