Classic, Mid Century Modern, statement piece, Timex Marlin 1978, gold toned face, manual winding, mechanical automatic movement, 17 jewels, water resistant, stainless steel stretch expansion bracelet and stainless steel back, normal vinatage wear with some scratches on crystal, mechanical watch. Super fab - really good looking vintage watch. Must be wound if you want it to work.
to wind: remove watch from your wrist, grasp the crown between your thumb and index finger, and turn it slowly in a clockwise direction (away from you) until you feel firm resistance As you turn the crown, the mainspring tightens and you will feel the tension gradually increase. Most vintage manual-wind movements take about 20 to 30 turns. Stop winding immediately the moment you feel a firm, hard stop. Forcing a vintage manual-wind watch past this point can snap or damage the delicate mainspring, recommended to wind once a day at same time every day
to set time: pull the crown out and always rotate the hands clockwise. Turning vintage hands backward can jam or damage older gear trains.
