Perfect material, great fit!
For a ribbed sweater, this material is perfect. It is one of the few ribbed items I own that does not make me look bulky because it relatively thin. I chose the black, and it is speckled so that it almost appears purple in some lighting. I am usually between an xs and small in free people tops, and the only size available was the xs. I am 5'4'' and 125 lbs and it does fall shorter in the front than the back, but not too much. The arms are just a little bit tight and start below the shoulders, like some other FP tops I own. Overall, I love this because it is not heavy, not frumpy, falls nicely and feels good!
Shedding never ends
I absolutely love this top, but have only worn it once because it sheds and sheds and sheds, all over everything. It literally destroyed the black lining of my new FP boucle coat and I'm still trying to remove all those little bits. This is a fail for me, which is too bad because I love the flowing, non clingy, non oversized, true to size fit and taupe color. So sad to return it.
really love my new pullover. it's super cozy! i got this in taupe, which is just like the photo. fits TTS, i'm 5'2" 100lbs and got the XS which fits like the model. it's not as thick as i imagined, but the thinner fabric allows it to drape better and layer with other pieces. my only concern is the unfinished hem. there's a seam to prevent it from unraveling too far, but i'm wondering what will happen when i hand wash it.... otherwise a great winter staple!
Gorgeous but only for a short time
I just bought this top at my local FP. It is SO flattering, I dashed back to get it in another color. It drapes beautifully. Sadly, it unravels very badly, particularly at the bottom of the sleeves. I'm going to hem it all around and return the other one I bought. FP, sometimes it's a good idea to finish the hems! I have only worn this twice but it won't last long even after I hem it. I can't imagine the damage washing it will do!
love this top!
I'm petite and usually wear size S, but ordered this top in XS. I got the taupe color and it's actually more of a light brown tweed, but I still love it. I usually do not wear turtlenecks or any kind of high neckline because my neck is short, but this one is somewhere between a cowl neck and a turtleneck and is very flattering. The fabric is lightweight but has a sweater-like feel to it, and is thin enough to tuck in if you want. The length on me is about the same as the model, and the top itself is loose-fitting but drapey. My only complaint is that the sleeves are really tight. I have larger arms, but think these would still be snug on most people with average size arms. They do stretch and are easy to push up, so it's not a big deal. The sleeves are the perfect length on me, so they might be a little short if you have long arms.I love this so much, I'm considering buying another. I would recommend sizing down.
