So warm, comfortable and flattering
Love FP's thermals and this is no exception. They're so warm, comfy and look gorgeous and very flattering to most body types. The cuffs in this one are stunning, and the sleeves are just the right length. Perfect for winter <3
This is my first Free People purchase, and I won't be rushing back. I purchased this shirt because of the unique cuffs, and they don't disappoint - they are gorgeous! (Otherwise would be 2 stars# The rest of the shirt is tight, thin, see-through #I purchased ivory), and looks cheap. The curved design on the bottom adds a love handle look. The neckline and cuffs are beautiful, so I may keep it to wear under vests or scarves, but I won't be rushing back to buy more. I followed the size chart, and a medium fit snugly. I don't think a large would look better, it's just a form fitting shirt. I'm 5'7" and a size 6 and it hits me at the waist on the sides and slightly lower in front/back - not made for leggings.
toasty and cute!
I have countless Free People thermals. This one is a wee bit more snug and body-hugging than the Alpine or Ski Lodge cuff. (5'3" 95 lbs, XS.) The "backwards flap" shoulder treatment is interesting, and of course the cuffs are striking and adorable as always. I like that the neckline on this one is less low and scoopy than usual. I wore mine to Mass and Confession, and not even my pastor raised an eyebrow!
Perfect in every way
I've been buying the embellished-cuff thermals for years (three different styles) but found myself wearing them less than I had hoped because of the flagrantly low necks. Here, then, is the exact right shirt: a little shorter, which is good for me, and not as scooped at the bottom, which isn't flattering on anyone. I hope next year yields a similar crop. I own all four colors and couldn't be happier. The bateau neck is a dream, and the overall look is outstanding.
I love this top. I went back to the store today and they had two left in my size in the Ivory. I grabbed one, but when I tried it on it had a couple holes in it. Thank goodness they had another, which I carefully inspected to make sure it was hole free. Actually, there was another thermal that I was trying on that also had a hole in it. I suspect the fabric may be delicate on the thermals. I wear a medium everywhere else; at free people I usually take a small or extra small. A small would have been fine except that the cuff fit kinda tight so I went a size up to the medium and the fit was almost the same but my wrist had some breathing room. I'm petite (5'2) so the length on this was great. Very nice. I wouldn't mind having it in some other colors.
I love the Free People Thermal tops that I actually have 8 of them! I like the different colors and the different style of the cuffs. So when I saw the indigo blue color I ordered it since I didn't have that color yet. However I was quite disappointed when i saw it. It looked more purple and not blue like the picture on the website. I already had a purple thermal top so I did not need one that was similar in color. I'll be returning the indigo We Free Rose Cuff. :-( I hope they make a blue one next season.
I was obsessed with this top and I am absolutely thrilled with it! I just don't understand how anyone could be unhappy with it-? I am 5'8" and 129 lbs. and purchased the Medium size...fits like a dream! LOVE LOVE! Thank you Free People! Your clothing is exceptional!
Super-flattering Fit and Ivory is Gorgeous
Say what you will about the indigo, I ordered it in the ivory and it is stun-ning! The cuffs are just as pretty in person as in the photo…maybe more so, because there is a metallic thread running thru it in 2 places. I normally hate metallic in any clothing but this is slight, festive and tasteful. The fit is oh-so flattering. Finally, an FP shirt that isn't too long on me! I'm petite at 5'2" and I normally take an XS in all FP shirts but I ordered a S in this because thermals fit tighter around the waist. I could probably use an XS in the shoulder area but it's working okay for me so far; probably even better after I wash it. Now to my favorite detail: The Boatneck - love love love it! It is so flattering to the shoulders and just so tasteful and classic. Why, FP, do you make most of your winter thermals low-cut or scoop-neck?? I don't get it. Who wants their chest hanging out in the winter when you're pale and it's cold outside? Besides, a boatneck is flattering on everyone. I like everything about this shirt so much so that I almost feel like I should buy a back-up (also in Ivory) for when this one wears out. It's that lovely.
Sorry gang, It looks so pretty in the catalogue/online but the cuffs in person are dreary and not so detailed.... Too much money for a not very special shirt. IF you are tall and have long arms the coverage is NICE but cuffs just don't do it, At least not in the blue/purple color
