Weekends Layering Top

This product is no longer available
  • Style: 29490430 Color Code:

This lightweight sheer knit top that flows at the bottom is a great layering piece. Reverse seaming, a ribbed trim neckline, and an unfinished uneven hem that's longer in the middle complete the style.

This is so gorgeous. The cut and flow is ridiculously beautiful. It is very fragile though. I haven't had any major issues with mine, I machine wash it on

Anyone wear more than once?

Great color and perfect fit, but this just fell apart. I bought two and both had the same problem of snagging on the first wear . I was careful, I swear, but once it snags even a tiny bit, the shirt is done for.

This was my first purchase from free people and I have been eyeing this top for a while. Unfortunately I had not read reviews online and went ahead and bought it in store. Even though this top fits like a dream (the reason for the 2 stars), the material is a HUGE downfall. Within the first hour of wearing it, there were tiny strings from it all over my leggings and there were snags on the arms. I honestly have no clue how this happened as I wasn't wearing any jewelry and hadn't even left the house yet. I really want to love this top and was planning on buying more, but I'm not sure if I can bring myself to purchase items of this quality again.

Poor quality

Although the top is very pretty, after just one wear it began to fall apart. There are loose threads everywhere. Unfortunately, it isn't a shirt that will make it through several wears.

I have two of these tops the seafoam and the snow and I really like the style and fit. They are great layering pieces and look as pictured. I am disappointed though because both of mine have holes in them from where they have pulled away at the seam. They are very thin fabric :( Kind of sad cause they are cute and I loved wearing them!

I love this top. It's so flattering around the neck, shoulders and arms and so merciful around the mid-section;) The material is very soft and the style is so forgiving that it can be worn-by and look good on, a multitude of shapes and sizes. The stretchy knit fabric clings in a flattering way and not in a show-every-flaw kind of way. It's hard to explain…for instance, it clings to your arms and makes them look so nice and lanky. It drapes so well and the neck fits almost like a bateau or boatneck which gives it a chaste and sophisticated look, while still making your shape look curvy and sexy; the 3/4 length sleeves are a great look with this neckline. This is just a design winner all the way around. It does snag very easily so if you want to keep it looking good, you have to treat it with Sunday's hands. My only beef is that the XS is much longer than I would choose for my 5'2" frame, especially in the back. But alas, I love the rest of it so much that I'm keeping it, even tho my figure would be much better served w/a few inches off of the length. It has a raw hem and I am sooo tempted to cut it myself, but just too chicken. If this top were only shorter I would buy 4 more colors that I am dying to try...

Fine line between delicate and ridiculous

I bought this along with another top made from the same fabric with similar seams. The other top literally came apart at the seams and so I returned this in case the same thing happened. Something I've discovered about Free People clothing so far is that their seams are awful. I own a few items of FP clothing now and the first thing I do when an item arrives is check to make sure the stitching is finished, because I refuse to pay a lot of money for an item that hasn't even been sewn correctly, and will barely last only one or two wears.

Love the fit, but poor quality!

I love these tops and bought a few of them in succession at my Free People store. Unfortunately, they do snag easily and aren't going to hold up! I just washed my black and orange one for the first time. I have a hole in the middle of the sleeve of the black one and my orange one is now all fuzzy looking and seemed to shed quite a bit while I washed it- even though I washed it by hand, in the sink, did not wring or twist it and laid it flat to dry. I love the way this top fits but I wish it was made in another fabric that would hold up better- Im afraid to wash the other two I bought for fear of ruining them! I'm giving this two stars just because while they're super flattering and cute on, they're not going to hold up over time even with vigorous care. Great fit, poor quality.

I've ordered the charcoal one in S and I think it runs true to size, plus the style is really nice. The quality is not outstanding though, that's why I'm hand washing it & avoiding to use it with necklaces....

Wore this top to work (once) and it has about 10 snags on it. Super disappointed, because I love the top. Will exchange for a better quality item. :(
