What could be better than FP fave Weekends Layering Top? Adding a mock neck! This lightweight sheer knit top flows at the bottom and is the perfect layering piece. Reverse seaming, a mock neck, and an raw hem complete the style.
not as good as other weekend tops
The original weekend top is my favorite purchase from free people. The material is a bit cheap, but the design and layering potential is phenomenal. This one however missed the mark. It's a strange proportion. Go with the original weekend.
Very cute and versatile
So most of the poor reviews for this item are due to the tops lightweight nature, which I don't understand why because this is supposed to be a sheer layering piece. This top will NOT keep you warm, just saying. After getting that out of the way this is an excellent stylish layering top meant to go over intimates and whatnot. I have been able to incorporate this top into many different outfits/styles. It is great!!! The fabric is soft but on the delicate side so as long as you aren't engaging in any super active craziness it shouldn't fall apart. I have thrown it in the washer/dryer a bunch of times and it always comes out looking new. If you are unsure about the size I would size down because the cut is flowy and fabric is stretchy
i was excited for this simple top but when it arrived, i realized immediately that it has an uneven hemline - lopsided with the left side considerably longer than the right. seems like it was just cut wrong. disappointing as this is the second quality issue i've had recently.
Like too much Free People clothing, this top suffers from quality issues. The one and only good thing about this top is the great shape. So yes, the raw edged seams look great, but the unfinished edges mean that everywhere you go, and over everything you wear, you will be shedding annoying tiny pieces of material. This is because the top hasn't been finished properly and these cut shreds haven't been removed. The loosely woven material is pleasantly lightweight (and totally see through in the lighter colors) but this also means the top will catch and pull threads all over it. I've worn mine twice and have just thrown it into the back of my closet. My apartment and everything I had on yesterday is covered in little bits of material and the top has pulled threads all over it. I might wear it to paint in, but that's it, the love affair is over! I paid half price for this top in the Black Friday sale but reckon it's only worth about ten bucks. This top is a good design idea gone wrong. Cheaply made, flimsy and poor quality, don't waste your money.
I fell in love with this top when I first saw it! Unfortunately when I received it there was already holes and snags before I even put it on. The fabric is VERY delicate, but soft, I'd like to see better quality for the price. Disappointed.
Hi erikadunn, We're sorry to hear about your shirt. Someone from our team will be in touch! -Free People
I thought this would be a perfect layering piece--a tissue thin tunic top would get a lot of use in my wardrobe. I was shocked when I got with this and the other Weekends top to discover just how cheap the fabric looks! I would be embarrassed to wear it in public, to be honest. I kept trying them on with all the slips I got, but nope... not in my head. To boot, the neck was about an inch wider on the right side than it was on the left side. Very let down by these. TTS, for what it's worth.
Great simple top
This is exactly like the weekends layering top except for the neckline. I am quite pleased with this top, the only issue is that the neck opening is small with no stretch so you have to be careful putting it on, but it's no biggie.... Got two colors, may get more....
