Horrible quality

when i first bought this in the grey and black, i fell in love. all of the detailing made it super unique! BUT the quality is horrible because the fabric is so delicate. I only wore it once, but all of the seams began to rip and little holes began to form. I would not recommend this product. i actually bought it at nordstrom, and when i took it back, this was not the first time they had experienced such an issue. DO NOT BUY.

Disappointing

I thought this dress was going to be great, but I ended up really disappointed. After coveting it online for a month, it arrived in my local store (most likely as a return). The XS was a bit tight. Every time I moved my shoulders back, the front opened up, exposing my entire chest. I'm a 34C, and I prefer to dress modestly. This one is definitely not for me! My friend ended up trying it on, and it looks fabulous on her. Zippers are also not really my style. My friend says they are cheap and catch on other clothes.

Slight colour discrepancy and too thin

the style is cool but has colour discrepancy which is out of my expectation. but lucky tat the colour is acceptable. however, the quality and texture are not vy good, it is too thin which is not worth for the price. anyways still keep it as lazy to deal with shipment.

Want to love it....

This tunic looks so perfect online but it's such a disappoint :( The fitting is great other than the awkward slit in the front. The fabric material isn't good quality either. Personally for me also, the sleeves are a bit too long and the zippers really have no function and it's just bothersome.

So cute! Not for the busty

I was so sad I had to send this back. In most brands I'm anywhere from a medium to an XL (size small waist, 36DDD breasts, 5'10"), and in free people I've never really had problems with my boobs being too large for size large, but this was the exception. The front was just completely obscene (and I don't mind a little cleavage), and gym-goers beware - the biceps on mine were a little snug. I even tried it on with a compression sports bra, hoping that would help, but no. Love the styling otherwise, although I do agree with other reviewers that the material felt cheap and more like something I'd expect to find at Target. I'd be terrified of washing it in case it shrank. Still, if it had been a little less gaping in the bust, I would have kept it because the styling really is cute and flattering. Alas, back it went.

Love the dress but it didn't suit me

The style and colours of this dress are gorgeous however unfortunately it just didn't look good on me. The gathered waistline made it look even more voluminous considering the already-loose fit and whilst the straps looked really good the back gaped slightly at my shoulders. I really do wish this suited me as the colours are beautiful, the is the more rusty colour shown in the product photos though and not the darker red in the catalogue photo.

Really confused...

I am normally a M or L in Free People dresses and I had seen the white in an XS returned to my store so I thought certainly ordering a L this dress would be roomy and slightly over sized. I was shocked to open the package and find an itty bitty tunic. When I put the dress on the cut out in the front was so wide (and I am not busty at all, 34 B) it was totally unattractive and inappropriate. The hemline was not anywhere near dress length. I was incredibly disappointed and ended up returning. Part of me thinks I just got a dress that was sized wrong? Either way I returned it.Proceed with caution ladies.

Way too delicate!!

So I got the dress in the twillight and I loved it.l The zippers on the sleeves don't make much sense to me, but besides that it's really cute. However, after only one wear, threads are coming out everywhere. The fabric is WAY too delicate. Also it's thin, and it doesn't stretch. That I can live with. But now I just cant really wear it.

Disappointed

I loved the look of this tunic and decided to order it in my regular size for FP, small. It arrived super fast and tried it on as fast as I could. Material is good quality, but it ends there. The shoulders were too tight as well as the upper sleeve and I'm not by no means big up top. The bust area was ok if I didn't try to reach up or in front of me then it would pull the shirt toward the front and made the back look awkward. As for the body of the top it was perfectly swingy. So I decided to order a size up, to a Medium I went. Shoulder area fits perfectly which makes the sleeves not tight in the upper arm, Bust area lays better but there is too much material in the back which makes the stripes not to lay flat but swing out. As for the body part, it was a bit wider but not by much and it was longer than the small but it looked fine. Nice idea but bad execution. Boo. For reference: 5'9", 140lb, 36B, 28, 38.

Couldn't make it work

I tried this tunic in my usual size (s) and the front keyhole gaped open awkwardly and highlighted my cleavage too much, so I decided to try sizing up. After my exchange got here, I still had the same problem, and the overall fit was now a bit too baggy and not super-flattering. Some kind of bandeau or camisole might help, but then that would show in the back and then ruin the look of the lattice straps. Maybe stitching the front keyhole closed would help, but I'm not willing to put in that kind of effort. Unfortunately, this is just one of those Free People dresses/tunics that doesn't work for larger chests :/
