How has your idea of “home" changed this year? How has it remained the same?

This year, more than ever, home has become a sanctuary that embodies that energy I'm looking to both emit and preserve. My space has always been about calm elements of healing, function (especially as someone who works from home) and joy! Curating my space this year -- whether purging what doesn't serve me or adding elements that do -- is about comfort and safety.

3 things that you love most about home:

Space -- to feel mobile and fluid
My bedroom nook -- area of inspiration
Outdoor (rooftop) space -- to breathe

What’s your go-to outfit when you're home? Why?

I actually don't have a go-to outfit -- it really depends on the energy of the day! Adornment is part of my daily ritual and that varies depending on my mood. I love to dress up just as much as I love to dress down.

How does sustainability play a part in your everyday? How do you employ it in your community advocacy? How do clothes help to tell your story?

From gardening to morning breathwork-centering to skincare to community advocacy -- so much of what I do is grounded in various elements of sustainability. From home I'm able to share elements of myself and my work with my community while amplifying the importance of circle support during these challenging times. Clothing and adornment, for me, are forms of communication -- from the fiber themselves to the styling! I have always used fashion as a vehicle for advocacy and every day, no matter what my vibe is, I'm always wearing something made by a Black (or at the very least POC) designer as a continuous form of honoring our legacies in the sustainable fashion/accessory space.

What are your styling go-to’s when you’re looking to keep things simple?

One piece - whether that's a jumpsuit, floor length dress of any kind, or overalls and a headwrap with some slides.

3 things that you - and your closet - can’t live without...

An oversized tee shirt or crew neck, sneakers and statement hat.
