Reviews and comments aside, we felt it was our duty to put it to the test with a true wear-and-wash marathon so we’d know, once and for all, that this hoodie lives up to the hype (and its name). We recruited 13 FP Movement employees to take an A Cut Above Hoodie from new to worn over the course of 30 days. Here’s how it held up.

THE 30 DAY A CUT ABOVE HOODIE CHALLENGE
The goal was simple: wash and wear the A Cut Above Hoodie as much as possible in a month. Our group took this hoodie everywhere from city walks and woodsy hikes to long plane rides and breezy beaches. In the end, Team FP Movement came through with some great adventures and valuable insights.
Our wearers took the A Cut Above Hoodie with them on an array of adventures, trying to ensure that we really put it to the test. With its 100% cotton fabrication and ultra-durable construction, we felt confident that this luxe hoodie could withstand a lot of wearing and zero tearing. Here were the highlights:

When it came to washing the hoodie, most of us made a point to wash after every other wear. While we realize most hoodies in a wardrobe don’t require this level of maintenance, the goal was to truly put this sweatshirt through the ringer. If it can take a month-long marathon of wearing and washing, it can certainly handle the standard lifecycle of a garment in your regular rotation. To put it simply: we did the work so you don’t have to. .

“I washed the hoodie a total of 6 times. The first time I dried it as normal and it held up fine. After that, I chose to air dry it so it maintained its fit. Still feels brand new tbh.” - Leyla
“I’ve been washing and drying on the delicate cycle and have had no issues! Hasn’t shrunk and no color loss or bleeding.” - Kyra
“I washed my A Cut Above Hoodie 8 times and chose to air dry because the fit was so perfect, I didn’t want to risk shrinkage. But from what I hear from others, I didn’t need to worry about that!” - Elizabeth
“Washed and dried 7 times with no issues! Feels perfectly lived in.” - Brigid

We’d be remiss to not go into detail about what makes the A Cut Above Hoodie so great. Beyond the fabrication and durability, the comfort level also took a few of us by surprise. “I LOVE how structured and heavy the fabric is. You can tell it will last.” said Kyra, one of our Merchandisers.
