In the past, wearing your pajamas outside of your bedroom elicited nothing but negative connotations: disheveled, under the weather, unkempt… However, over the last four years, we’ve noticed this phenomenon slowly turning on its head, as we all started to integrate loungewear into our daily wardrobes. In 2020, comfort was everything, while we worked from home in our PJs (and loved every second of it). Fast forward to now, and we’re back in offices and social settings, where our head-to-toe looks are subject to everyone’s opinion. While it’s nice to dress up again, there was just no way we could let go of that comfort-first sentiment. So we didn’t! The it-girls cracked the code, and figured out ways to take certain pieces straight from sleep to street. Enter FP’s favorite feed-scouring trend: Pajama Dressing.

We’re talking boxers, PJ pants, classic matching sets…While it’s easy to see these as lounge-only options, a little styling can turn these pieces into your new favorite basics. You take a classic PJ piece, in an elevated pattern or bold color, and pair it with timeless staples like chunky knits, loafers or cool sneakers, and endless accessories. It’s a proven outfit formula that keeps you comfy while giving you that undeniable charisma. “She’s wearing boxers out…and she looks incredible?” DUH!
