So, how could I not try it?

These were the admiring musings that leapt out at me as I scrolled through Pai’s Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil product page one afternoon. With five stars and countless declarations of customer devotion, this alone would be enough to convince me to try it, but there’s one more reason I was intrigued by the tangerine-tinged facial oil.

In fact, when I think about my first week at Free People, this is the advice I remember. Before I could figure out how to set up my phone or change the coffee filter, I knew that rosehip oil was the standard-issue skincare product for practically every home office employee.

It’s something of a unicorn product — universally beloved, imparts a game-changing glow, doesn’t break anyone out. It’s a staple on the shelves of designers, buyers and merchandisers alike.

Even Pai Skincare's founder Sarah Brown admits it's her desert-island beauty product. "I lean on it so much and for different skin needs," she explains. "Its multi-tasking benefits are pretty endless -- it can be used for scars, blemishes, after-sun, pigmentation, dry skin, or just as a conditioning facial oil."

And for good reason: rosehip oil is renowned for its skin-healing properties. Crafted from antioxidant-rich Certified Vegan and organic ingredients, the formula is said to promote skin elasticity, while visibly restoring a clearer and brighter complexion.

Even better: its high concentrations of omegas 3, 6, 7 and 9, plus antioxidant carotenoids are said to help repair and protect the skin against environmental stresses and visible damage.

Sarah explains that they first started incorporating the rosehip oil in their Chamomile & Rosehip Day Cream. "[We] kept getting amazing feedback from customers on various skin ailments it had helped to resolve!" So when my bottle of Rosehip Oil arrived at my desk, a trio of ardent supporters quickly circled round to share own personal takeaways:

That night, I followed my typical routine of cleansing and toning. I massaged three drops of the oil into my skin, taking note of its light feel and refreshing fragrance. After, I clocked my eight hours, waking up to a satisfyingly glowier-than-usual complexion. No breakouts. No clogged pores. In fact, my skin has been more even-toned than ever. It’s been two weeks and I’ve happily swapped out my staid serum for its moisturizing counterpart.

It might be later than my oil-devout coworkers would’ve liked, but I’ve finally embraced the crowd-favorite oil — one that’s spurred countless reviews and recommendations.
