The Creative Spirit Fund is Free People’s ever-evolving initiative highlighting and supporting creative
minds across the globe through grants to further aid their innovative endeavors. This year, Free People partnered with the
Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program to support five female documentary filmmakers.
Through Free People’s Creative Spirit Fund, Up To Five Women Documentary Filmmakers Will Receive:
Supports the work of nonfiction filmmakers from around the globe, whose work expresses the world in creative, complex, beautiful, and provocative ways, and creates real cultural and social impact around some of the most pressing issues of our time.
In their funding, they continue to uplift productions led by artists from communities that have been traditionally marginalized, unearthing historically underrepresented narratives.
