Green Drops That Level-Up Daily Detox

Gonna make you sweat…

If you’re a sauna enthusiast or a chill wellness buff, join me.

As both, the only reason I step foot in the gym is for the sweet reward of a luxurious steam and sauna at the end of a tight 15-minute elliptical session. Now, the detoxification experience can be leveled-up with the power of chlorophyll (a natural antioxidant that supports cellular energy and rids the body of unwanted toxins), bottled in HigherDose Detox Drops.

Drink Up

By adding a couple of droppers of the cacao-mint-flavored liquid to a glass of water before you sweat, the formula has the potential to get the things you don’t want out of your body (free radicals, toxins) while nourishing it with nutrients that can boost your glow (like biotin). When I mix it up for a tasting, it goes down easy and stays true to its promise that despite looking like an intense green elixir, it’s gentle — a pre-workout staple has to be. The flavor is sort of like a healthy take on mint chocolate chip, just kind of clean and fresh.

Amp Up The Benefits

Essentially, it’s designed to make the act of sweating even more purposeful. “Our favorite benefits of this beauty and wellness elixir are detox amplification, gentle daily gut and digestion support, and the glow of clear skin,” says HigherDOSE’s head of brand communications Fiona Hillery, who suggests dosing with them every day for the best results. To level-up detox, she explains that a blend of magnesium, chlorophyll, and milk thistle “binds to toxins, carrying them out of your body as you get hot (during a sauna session) or workout – amplifying the effectiveness of your detox.” The formula even encourages your body to perspire more to flush out the bad stuff.

Sweat Out The Toxins

You can sweat it out via multiple channels once you down a glass of the drops. Go for your usual workout, head to the sauna, wrap up in the brand’s sauna blanket, or if you’re feeling particularly luxurious, take a hot bath. Even with the latter, the drops kick things up a notch without feeling over-the-top or creating a lightheaded sensation. Still, Hillery encourages drinking extra water and even “re-upping your electrolytes” with a packet of their High-Dration Powder. Next time, I’ll be cocktailing them with a scoop of Seratonin Soak Salts — right in the tub.
