After Mercury ends its backspin on the 7th and Venus finishes hers on the 12th, the rest of April is retrograde-free. Mercury and Venus re-enter Aries, the sign they both went retrograde in last month, on the 16th and the 30th, respectively. Mars revisits Leo on April 17th, the sign he began backtracking in last December. This pattern of planets returning to the fire signs they pulled U-turns in will hopefully reignite your enthusiasm and inspiration — both of which probably waned over the winter. Plus, the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto will each form at least one harmonious angle with another planet in April, creating areas of flow and opportunity throughout the month. Yes, there will be still be some friction (see: world), but it’s possible to find moments of ease as well as energies you can channel productively. The trick is to look for the positive and ride those waves as best you can.

Read both your Sun sign and your rising sign (Ascendant) below. If you don’t know what sign was rising when you were born, you can calculate your birth chart here to find out.
Aries: Fire, cardinal.

ARIES

March 21–April 19

On April 4th, your ruler, brave Mars, forms a coalition with Saturn, implying that unpacking emotional baggage can help you to get closure. It’s also a good time to finish a domestic project, resolve a family problem or reorganize your space. A Venus-Mars tête-à-tête on April 6th suggests you should allow yourself to be a little vulnerable in showing your feelings and a little bold in conquering insecurities. The payoff: You can bond with someone or leave personal pain like a heartbreak in the past. You’ll probably feel withdrawn — and maybe lonely or blue — when Venus retrograde aligns with Saturn on the 7th. Immediate gratification doesn’t seem to be in the cards, and you might decide to cut your losses in some way.
With messenger Mercury resuming forward motion minutes later, the inklings and hunches you’ve had recently could crystallize into conclusions. You still won’t feel very chatty, but the gift of gab will return soon. On April 12th, the Full Moon in your interpersonal angle requires you to balance your feelings and needs with those of others, and it might put a relationship to the test. A powerful connection could deepen, while a dysfunctional one is likelier to reach the end of the road. Right after that, Venus finally gets back in gear, which could stimulate pent-up desires. What has your heart been telling you these last couple of weeks? Its inclinations could become more apparent as the month unfolds, and if you suspect you should let go of a relationship or something that no longer satisfies your soul, chances are you’re ready. Mercury re-enters Aries on the 16th, restoring your ability to express yourself clearly. With your brain operating at full speed, you can present your views with plenty of energy. After Mars charges into your fulfillment house on the 17th, you’ll be motivated to make time for fun and go after what you want — and more willing to take chances. Mars spent November and December in this part of your chart but was retrograde here from December 6th, 2024 until January 6th, 2025, making it harder to pursue your desires during that period. Now you’re fired up again to do as you please until June 17th. After the Sun segues from Aries to Taurus on April 19th, some of your attention will turn to personal finances, belongings and values. This is a good month for getting your priorities in order and making the most of what you have going for you. As Mars syncs up with Neptune in Aries a few hours later, their harmony should help you to convey your creativity, emotions and personality clearly. It’s a gift to feel truly seen and understood, and you need to put yourself out there to make that happen. Come out from behind Neptune’s smokescreen, and show people your unique, lovable self. The Sun quarrels with Mars on April 20th, upping the odds of identifying strongly with your desires and needs and then letting that feeling dictate your actions. It might be more prudent to take stock of your resources such as useful possessions and natural talents. A personal inventory will enable you to assess your assets, and it will also remind you to appreciate and utilize everything at your disposal. But when the Sun and Pluto scuffle in your worth and humanity houses on April 23rd, it can feel like your own needs, belongings, values, priorities or finances are being overshadowed by groupthink, a cause or a movement. It may seem like a friend, acquaintance or associate doesn’t have your best interests at heart, and you might feel threatened. Take good care of what’s most important to you, but also look at what you’re getting from the powerful network of people in your life. Is there a way for you to reconcile your personal concerns with the greater good — albeit with some growing pains? You’re still not feeling very sociable, with amiable Venus hiding out at the end of your chart. When she encounters Saturn again on the 24th, you might feel isolated or melancholy. But if you’ve gotten lost in fantasyland, this planetary pairing can help you to snap out of it. Plus, it enables you to put up firm boundaries with people who drain your energy. With Mars and Pluto facing off on the 26th, there’s some discord between doing what you want to do and doing what other people expect you to do. Maybe your friends aren’t being supportive of something that brings you joy, and there might be a compromise that will help you avoid a power struggle. But don’t sacrifice your own happiness. You might end up doing something creative or affectionate that benefits others. On April 27th, the New Moon can inspire you to create a budget, set fresh financial goals, cultivate a new source of income and work on strengthening your self-sufficiency or self-esteem. Venus’s arrival in your sign on April 30th turns you into a social butterfly (at last!) and draws people to you like moths to a flame. Venus was sailing ahead in your sign from February 4th to March 1st before turning retrograde. The next five weeks—mirroring that period in February — are when you’re at your most magnetic, so make the most of it. While you’re feeling this attractive, affectionate and agreeable, say yes to parties, dates, hanging with friends — whatever your heart desires.

Taurus: Earth, fixed.

TAURUS

April 20–May 20

A Mars-Saturn mashup on April 4th encourages you be forthcoming with your ideas and prepared to back them up. A can-do mindset and straightforward speech will fuel a group endeavor and help you secure supporters. This is a great cosmic combination for proactive networking. Similarly, the Venus-Mars confab on April 6th should enable you to meet new people or connect with those you already know. You can find the right blend of assertive and agreeable that allows you to get along with everyone while also making your presence felt.
With Venus retrograde and Saturn aligning in your humanity house on April 7th, you’re aware of your commitment to friends or another circle of people and could feel a chill in the air—perhaps because it’s challenging to get everyone together socially, or you’re not feeling as supported as you’d like. Be patient if you can’t easily bridge the gap between you and others, and try not to take it personally. Messenger Mercury gets back in gear minutes later, reopening the lines of communication. Soon, you’ll feel capable of resolving any misunderstandings. The Full Moon of April 12th could trigger a crisis involving your work, your health or the functioning of your daily life. This reality check pushes you to make a change, and if you’ve been hoping to break a bad habit, here’s a golden opportunity. As your ruling planet, Venus, finally moves forward on the 12th, a desire to get together with people resurges, and you’ll gradually find it easier to connect. If you’ve felt cut off, you’ll start to get a better grasp on where you stand with a friend or group. But after Mercury sneaks into your subliminal sector on the 16th, you’ll go back to keeping your thoughts to yourself for a bit. Spend some time over the next few weeks thinking and studying by yourself in a low-key setting and tuning in to your instincts, imagination and subconscious. With go-getter Mars entering your foundation angle on April 17th, you might tackle a domestic project, deal with a family conflict or work from home in the next couple of months. Your behavior has an emotional component, which could result in petty battles or cause you to regress into an old pattern. Try to address your underlying mood in order to curtail such problems. The radiant Sun’s arrival in Taurus on April 19th heralds the beginning of your birthday season and infuses you with fresh vitality, and confidence. The month that follows is your time of year to focus on yourself and make a strong impression. A few hours later, a Mars-Neptune coalition can enable you to do highly creative work. There’s also a good chance that unpacking emotional baggage will have a healing effect. Lighten your load and leave something in the past. The Sun’s squabble with Mars on April 20th can generate irritability — and possibly a disagreement. Find a physical outlet if you need to vent aggression. If you don’t want to exercise, a household project would be another smart choice. A conflict with authority or bureaucracy could rattle you on the 23rd when the Taurus Sun squares off with powerful Pluto in your ambition angle. Being tested can give you strength if you’re simply being held accountable. If you’re fighting a shift in your career or life direction, try to divest your ego instead of pitting it against the inevitability of change. Pluto is starting to slowly dismantle and rebuild your professional path, and when you align yourself with that process, you’ll set goals that resonate on a deeper level. On April 24th, Venus gets together with Saturn once again, only this time, she’s not retrograde as she was on the 7th. You might officially join a group or do something tangible to help a friend. If you’re having issues in your crew, or a particular friendship is on the rocks, this is an opportune time to work through problems and try to get relations back on track. When Mars opposes Pluto on April 26th, your home life could be at odds with your career. Tread lightly around people who have power over you. If you’re acting temperamental, you could damage your standing with a boss. Moody behavior is bad for PR, especially now. See if you can use strong emotions as fuel for a bold step forward on your path to a goal. The New Moon in Taurus on April 27th invites you to make a fresh start and reinvent yourself somehow. What would a 2.0 version of you look like? How can you make an exciting leap? What would you like to be different in the year ahead? Start putting the pieces in place. With Venus sneaking into your release-and-retreat corner on April 30th for a five-week stay, you’ll crave peace and quiet at times, even though the Sun in your sign is revitalizing you. When that happens, you’ll either feel like being alone or enjoying private time with someone you can unwind with. Taking care of a loved one or showing selfless compassion for people will give you satisfaction, since this Venus placement favors agape love — universal and divine.

Gemini: Air, mutable.

GEMINI

May 21–June 20

Thanks to a collaboration between proactive Mars and Saturn on April 4th, you can use what you have going for you to put together a successful career trajectory or life path. It’s not about instant gratification. It’s about a solid plan, complete with action steps, that gradually strengthens your financial security and your standing in the world. Keep your eyes on the prize and your nose to the grindstone. When Venus retrograde harmonizes with Mars on the 6th, you can once again put your talents to good use. You might do creative work or turn on the charm with people who have the power to give you a leg up. Venus comes together with Saturn on the 7th, alluding to how much you want to succeed and how much work it takes.
You may experience a certain loneliness in your ambition or a feeling of “Is this all there is?” You’re reminded that you need to earn the recognition you covet—and when you know you deserve it, it’s especially sweet. Luckily, your ruler — Mercury — gets back in gear minutes later, which will help to straighten out career planning, communication with higher-ups and public relations. You’ll soon find it easier to formulate and articulate your goals. A Full Moon on April 12th lights up your fulfillment zone, putting you in the mood to express who you are and enjoy life. A creative project may come to fruition, and a love affair may reach new heights or go as far as it’s going to go. With Venus finally restarting her engine that same night, it won’t seem as hard to make a good impression on top brass and shine in your career (or in public). It’s important to you to cultivate a certain reputation, but while the social planet was backtracking, you may not have felt like you were seen in the best light possible. And if your heart wasn’t in certain goals, the retrograde could have led you to question the direction you’re heading in. After Mercury returns to your humanity house on the 16th, you’ll probably find that bouncing ideas off people and talking things through will clarify your thought process. Seek out friends and colleagues for feedback. You can also use the next few weeks to do some networking. Mars arrives in your cognition-and-communication sector on April 17th, after which your brain and daily life will pick up speed. In the next two months, you’ll be more inclined to assert yourself and fight for your ideas. You’re up for challenging mental work during this period and are likely to have dynamic interactions. The vibrant Sun ducks into the last house of your chart on the 19th, and your energy is apt to wane in the month that follows, as your solar year draws to a close. Carve out time for quiet reflection, rest and relaxation. As Mars syncs up with spiritual Neptune a few hours later, group communication, philanthropic endeavors, professional networking and socializing with friends should all feel somewhat easy. Unselfish thoughts and actions can help you get on the same page with others. But when the Sun quarrels with Mars on the 20th, whatever is going on inside you is likely to influence your interactions. Be careful not to engage in regressive behavior. Notice how subconscious intentions can drive your actions. Spend some time alone processing your emotions and contemplating the past. Pay attention to your dreams, and seek intuitive insights. You could feel torn between unwinding and exploring when the Sun in your retreat corner fights off Pluto in your expansion realm on April 23rd. Your physical vitality is low, but there might be some pressure to get out in the world and have new experiences. Part of you is drifting and unsure about what’s next, while part of you feels compelled to believe in a particular future. Someone with a strong opinion might attempt to dominate, leaving you bewildered if you engage. Venus has another rendezvous with Saturn on the 24th, which can prompt you to be more strategic when it comes to schmoozing your superiors and polishing your public image. Be mindful of the possibility that you might put people off with an authoritative air though, as this pairing can be a bit imperious. An opposition between Mars and Pluto on April 26th warns you not to dig your heels in. If you can avoid identifying too strongly with your own views, you should be able to see both sides, learn something—and possibly experience a powerful change in your outlook or worldview. The New Moon on April 27th offers the perfect excuse to begin a spiritual practice, go on a retreat, start a dream journal, improve your sleep habits or let go of something or someone for your own peace of mind. After Venus sets up shop in your humanity house on the 30th, you’ll be in the mood to mingle and attend large gatherings like parties and work events. During the next five weeks, make plenty of plans with friends and other groups.

Cancer: Water, cardinal.

CANCER

June 21–July 22

Mobilizing Mars in Cancer vibes with Saturn on the 4th making it so much easier for you to align your drive with your understanding of playing by the rules. Take action that serves a higher purpose (like fighting for a cause) instead of doing something to further your personal agenda. Combine motivation and pragmatism, and you’ll steadily manifest your vision. When Venus retrograde in your exploration corner sweet-talks Mars on April 6th, unfamiliar pleasures like new people and places can get your juices flowing, as you’re drawn to difference when Venus is in this part of your chart. But since she’s in reverse, you might long for something elusive or shy away from taking a risk.
Hopefully, Mars will embolden you to go after what you want. Venus meets up with Saturn on the 7th, pointing to the possibility that venturing outside your comfort zone can provide lasting satisfaction. With Mercury pivoting forward minutes later, the big picture should start to come together. Learning and travel won’t be as glitchy, and you can clarify your outlook in the days ahead. A Full Moon at the base of your chart on April 12th could bring an ending or climax connected with your home or relatives. For instance, a roommate could move out, or you might resolve a family matter and leave it behind you. Even if you’re focused on your career now, you may need to shift your attention and deal with private emotions. After Venus corrects course that same night, your perspective will brighten, and you’ll regain an interest in new people and pleasures. You may get a yen for travel or crave other mind-broadening experiences. Mercury’s ascent to your success angle on April 16th fills your brain with ambition. If you revised your goals or plans recently or got your wires crossed with superiors, now you can get back on the right track by communicating and thinking more effectively. On April 17th, Mars charges into your worth realm for a two-month visit, prompting you to be proactive about dealing with your finances and possessions. Make good use of your resources such as natural talents in order to accomplish tasks. But try to avoid becoming defensive over what you consider to be yours, including belongings and personal values. And keep the urge to splurge in check, unless money is no object. The Sun’s arrival in your network sector on April 19th stimulates the social butterfly in you, so make plenty of plans with your friends in the month ahead. You’ll thrive on group energy during this period. When Mars meshes with Neptune a few hours later, your actions related to money, priorities, resources and values can best be applied to an ambitious dream. Consider how you might make the most of your innate gifts and other assets to achieve your aims and also provide for yourself. Creative and spiritually-motivated efforts will be especially fruitful. But it’s challenging to stay in sync with people on the 20th when the Sun scuffles with Mars. You won’t have an easy time using your personal resources in a collective effort or protecting your own interests while also fitting into a group dynamic. Try to accept that your needs probably won’t dovetail neatly with those of others that day and avoid overreacting. A clash between the Sun and controlling Pluto in your sharing sector on April 23rd could spell jealousy, mistrust, manipulation or intimacy issues. The division of power is a delicate dance now, and your interactions are likely to be intense as you attempt to integrate your interests with someone else’s. When Venus aligns with Saturn again on April 24th, you could get serious about someone who’s quite different from you — or different from the type of person you usually go for. Exploring unfamiliar pleasures of all kinds will be worth it in the long run, so venture into uncharted waters. Mars goes head to head with Pluto on the 26th, suggesting that tension could arise in an important relationship. Maybe you’re pursuing what you feel you need, and that might result in a conflict — possibly a power struggle. It probably seems much simpler to be independent than interdependent, and relationships could feel quite complicated. After a New Moon lands in your network sector on the 27th, you could make new friends and professional contacts, join an organization and bring fresh faces into your circle in other ways. You could also get a humanitarian effort off the ground soon or launch another kind of group endeavor. Once Venus shows up in your ambition angle on April 30th, your public and professional image will receive a welcome boost. Plus, it will feel easier to smooth any feathers that were ruffled during Venus’s backspin here last month. Your magnetism and creativity can score points for you during the next five weeks. Don’t hesitate to turn on the charm around people who can support your ascent up the ladder. Higher-ups are inclined to see the best in you now.

Leo: Fire, fixed.

LEO

July 23–August 22

On April 4th, a confab between Mars and Saturn suggests that working behind the scenes and concentrating intently on what you’re doing will pay dividends. Diving deep into a creative pursuit, your psyche or an important relationship will also be worth it. Venus retrograde links up with her cosmic companion, Mars, on the 6th, and their alliance can generate sexy sparks or emotional breakthroughs. You might bond with someone special behind closed doors or grapple with an internal challenge and feel more at peace with yourself. There’s also a chance you’ll decide to release something — or someone — from your life so you can heal and move on.
Love, closeness, loyalty and trust seem very serious when Venus aligns with Saturn in your merging sector on the 7th. You might feel a lack, or it could sink in that these things often require work and commitment. If your heart isn’t fully invested in a particular relationship, you may be reassessing it and considering cutting ties. Don’t take action just yet. Mercury’s U-turn minutes later will improve your ability to get to the bottom of things and suss out substantial answers. Plus, talking to someone close to you and spelling out what you need will become less daunting in the days ahead. The Full Moon on April 12th can bring a torrent of communication, info and busyness or push you to change your mind. Don’t rush to have all the answers. Staying curious allows you to keep a pleasant sense of childlike wonder. As Venus gets back in gear that night, intimacy and sharing won’t seem so hard to come by, and you’ll feel your passion gradually returning. If you’ve been waiting for outside money like a loan or grant to come through, the next couple of weeks should ease cash flow. On April 16th, Mercury zips into your expansion zone, making you eager to stretch your mind once again and fill it with unfamiliar, inspiring subject matter and sights. Study and travel — which are both easier now that the messenger planet is no longer retrograde — will provide a fresh perspective. Challenge yourself not to merely take things in but to also synthesize meaning. With Mars returning to Leo on April 17th after spending November and December in your sign (and backpedaling there from December 6th to January 6th), once again, you’re mobilized to pursue your personal agenda with bold determination. You have the fuel to go after what you want and further your own interests during the next two months. Operate independently as much as possible, since your assertiveness might veer into dominance at times. Your ruler, the radiant Sun, soars into your ambition angle on the 19th, firing you up to prove yourself in a public or professional arena. This is your month to shine, so take center stage and show the world what you’re capable of. When Mars meshes with Neptune a few hours later, your actions might be motivated by your compassion, ideals or spiritual beliefs. Contemplate the world not as it is, but as you think it should be. Then dedicate your drive to promoting that vision. Strive to do something that has meaning — and perhaps serves others who are less fortunate than you. The Sun’s feud with Mars on April 20th can make it difficult for you to achieve a goal or dazzle people in the way you’d like to. You’re likely to push too hard in your efforts to make a good impression and may seem overly aggressive. But your ambition — or someone you respect — can motivate you to work hard. You’ll have more success if you focus on competing with yourself and don’t try to wield authority over anyone. When the Sun spars with Pluto on April 23rd, you might be trying to shine and feel overshadowed by someone. Or maybe you’re coming on strong and provoking another person to react. Sidestep power struggles and monitor your own behavior. Be the bigger person by not trying to best anyone, and ask yourself if there isn’t more to be gained from an alliance. You’re primed for a deep dive into a close relationship on the 24th when Venus bumps into Saturn again. This planetary pairing highlights the appeal of investing in another human being. Since Venus is no longer retrograde, you’re in a better position now to see the upside of putting in the work to maintain a strong bond with someone. But a Mars-Pluto opposition on April 26th tempts you to get into a tug of war with an individual who’s standing in your way. Don’t try to control anyone’s actions but your own. If you can manage to identify areas of agreement, productive change is possible. The New Moon on April 27th encourages you to set new goals, start a fresh chapter in your career, create a business plan, enhance your public image or chart a course that shifts your life direction. After Venus sashays into your exploration corner on April 30th, you might find yourself drawn to people and places you hadn’t considered before. Unfamiliar pleasures hold more appeal than the usual, so be more adventurous in the five weeks that follow.

Virgo: Earth, mutable.

VIRGO

August 23–September 22

An alliance between Mars and Saturn on April 4th builds a bridge between you and others to facilitate teamwork, networking, friendship and group activities. If you’re strategic and take the initiative, you could secure a mentor, a partner, a good contact or a new friend. A Venus-Mars alliance on the 6th makes it easy to click with people and join forces. You might make a new friend or meet a potential love interest through the circle of people you already know. But with Venus retrograde, there’s a good chance you’ll encounter someone from the past. The commitment and work that close relationships entail will hit home when Venus meets up with Saturn on April 7th. Maybe you’re feeling inhibited or you’re not feeling the love from other people.
Chilliness and even loneliness are possibilities with this cosmic combination, but it can also bind people together — because it’s essentially reminding us that love is serious. Minutes later, Mercury corrects course, paving the way for diplomatic dialogue and fence-mending. Aim to resolve any differences that arose in the last few weeks. The Full Moon of April 12th conflates needs and desires, putting you at risk of overspending, especially if you feel like you’ve been deprived of pleasure lately. But your hard work could pay off now, as you’re more likely to receive what you’ve earned than what you suddenly crave. Right after that, Venus gets back in gear after spending six weeks in reverse. Soon, everyone will seem more agreeable and engaged. You can strike compromises, clear up interpersonal issues and perhaps get a significant relationship back on track if it has faltered recently. With Mercury diving into your depth-and-merging realm on April 16th, you’ll direct some of your attention inward to private emotions, and you can also have meaningful conversations in your closest relationships. You might resume an investigation or research project or revisit certain subjects you delved into weeks ago. Mars ducks into your retreat corner on April 17th for a two-month stay, persuading you to work behind the scenes. If you feel irritable, facing up to your own ingrained behavior patterns (including self-sabotage) would be more useful than confronting other people. This can be an aggravating period if you’re interested in making a big impression and getting credit for what you’re doing. But if you’re willing to toil away quietly, you can accomplish plenty. The Sun’s arrival in your exploration zone on April 19th inspires you to broaden your horizons in the coming month through study, travel and new experiences. A few hours later, a Mars-Neptune mashup implies alone time and introspection — or private time with another person and intimate sharing—can result in feeling closer to your true essence or closer to someone you care about. Either way, it can be a mystical, healing experience, so dive in deep. A dustup between the Sun and Mars on April 20th suggests that a quest to be more conscious can inspire you to forsake self-defeating behavior. Examine your hidden motives from different angles to stop an unhealthy pattern in its tracks. You might channel strong convictions into productive, humble work. The Sun’s clash with Pluto on the 23rd can make it seem like everything will fall apart if you break out of your routine, but it doesn’t have to be an all-or-nothing proposition. You might decide to get a lot done and then take a break. If you’re in an optimistic frame of mind, another person could be a buzzkill by giving you a reality check or bogging you down in details or duties. If a debate over who’s right veers into a destructive struggle for control, take the high road. Another Venus-Saturn coalition on April 24th lends a serious tone to one-on-one relations, and this might feel like a turning point. Are you ready to make things more official? If so, you could decide to commit. But if a close connection isn’t working, Saturn can convince you to call it a day. A Mars-Pluto opposition on April 26th dials up tension, tempting you to lie low. If you’re compelled to engage, sidestep a conflict by reminding yourself that there’s probably more than one right way of doing something. If you can find a pragmatic compromise, you should be able to do great work. On the 27th, a New Moon prompts you to feed your hunger for adventure. A big trip, new course of study or entrepreneurial venture could be just around the corner. This is a good lunation for adopting a new philosophy and taking a leap of faith. Once Venus segues into your depth-and-merging realm on the 30th, your desire for closeness is bound to heat up. Private, intense connections will feel essential. Bond one on one with the object of your lust, a good friend or the companion of your choice. When you feel like being by yourself, dive into a passion project or something else you’re obsessed with.

Libra: Air, cardinal.

LIBRA

September 23–October 22

The Mars-Saturn coalition on April 4th points to hard work paying off in the form of noticeable progress — and perhaps professional or public accolades. Concentrate on key goals and strive to accomplish them without a lot of flash. When Venus retrograde gels with Mars on the 6th, your creativity, drive and ability to work well with others can all come together, helping you make serious headway. You’re able to balance a pleasant approach to work with formidable ambition so you won’t come on too strong — but you won’t fade into the woodwork either. This combo allows you to climb the ladder without stepping on toes.
With Venus and Saturn meeting up on the 7th, relationships with coworkers may feel strained. Or your enjoyment of your work could wane, making it difficult to summon the positive energy required for tackling tasks. This planetary pairing reminds you to get serious about what you want — especially what you want your daily life to look like. Minutes later, Mercury’s U-turn improves your ability to analyze situations and problem-solve. Scheduling snafus, miscues on the job and overlooked details won’t trip you up so much going forward. A Full Moon lands in Libra on April 12th, bringing your emotions to the surface. You’ll probably feel needy and may hesitate to open up, but owning your feelings and taking self-care seriously will ground you. Seek a healthy outlet for intensity, and be willing to let go of something that no longer serves you. Your ruler, Venus, resumes forward motion very soon after that, allowing you to take more pleasure in your work and other daily doings. You’ll slowly start to feel more invested in your efforts and more satisfied with the quality of your life. If you’ve had any realizations about how you spend your time, you might tweak your routine in the near future. Mercury re-enters your interpersonal angle on April 16th, facilitating dialogue and enabling you to clear the air in relationships. You’re bound to have some stimulating interactions, so make the effort to reach out. With Mars charging into your humanity house on the 17th for a two-month tour, you can rally the troops for productive teamwork. Look around for kindred spirits who share your objectives and ideals and band together. Cooperation is the name of the game now, so find people you can work with. Participating in physical activities like sports with your friends would also be a good use of this energy. After the Sun plunges into your depth-and-merging realm on the 19th, you’ll delve deeper into a relationship, passion project, emotional matter or investigation in the month ahead. As Mars syncs up with Neptune on April 19th, organic connection, spiritual simpatico, artistic alliance, romantic vibes and charitable endeavors are all favored. You can easily see the best in people and get on the same wavelength with them. But the Sun’s skirmish with Mars on April 20th makes it harder to merge your interests with those of others and collaborate. It might be best to disengage from a conflict and do some deep thinking on your own. Reflecting on a loss, a major change or a psychological issue can help you reach resolution within yourself. Dialogue in a close relationship is likely to cover old ground and may not lead to mutual understanding. Merging gets messy when the Sun spars with Pluto in your love-and-happiness zone on April 23rd. Closeness could trigger fear, causing you or the other person to try to gain the upper hand. Or this relationship may bring out a part of you that you don’t like and force you to face it. Maybe you’re willing to pool your resources with a partner, but the logistics are a headache. If you start a romantic relationship now, your chemistry could be quite volatile. When Venus reconvenes with Saturn on the 24th, you might be thinking about the effort you should devote to a relationship, a creative project or your health. Whether you’re trying to improve your own wellbeing, your job satisfaction or an important connection, recommit to putting in the effort. You might analyze the problems you’ve having with someone or analyze where your health habits are falling short. This planetary pairing also encourages you to help out coworkers and others you often cross paths with. Tension builds on the 26th as Mars and Pluto face off. Balancing your personal pursuits with group interests will be challenging, especially if you’re doing something that fulfills you. But it’s possible that a collaborative effort will force you to dig deep and end up bringing out the best in you. The New Moon of April 27th suggests a new sexual relationship — or a new level of closeness in an existing one — could be in the pipeline. You might also start a new research project or investigation, tap into a fresh outside resource or undergo an empowering emotional transformation that gives you a newfound sense of strength. On the 30th, Venus dances into your interpersonal angle, making it even easier than usual for you to maintain peaceful relations and compromise when called for. You could feel more affectionate with a significant other and more agreeable with other individuals You’ll definitely enjoy one-on-one companionship in the next five weeks.

SCORPIO

October 23–November 21

Since bold Mars in your exploration corner is in cahoots with Saturn on the 4th, you have the momentum to push the limits of who you can be and what will make you happy. You’re ready to bet on yourself and explore uncharted territory in an effort to grow. Unfamiliar experiences can reveal routes to personal fulfillment. A tryst between Venus retrograde and Mars on April 6th can inspire you to break out of the same old routine and do what makes you happy. Take a calculated creative risk. Add more spice and romance to a relationship by being spontaneous. Go out with someone you’re drawn to who’s outside your comfort zone in some way.
The idea is to have a fresh experience that brings you joy. But with Venus still rolling retrograde, keep the stakes low. A Venus-Saturn meetup on April 7th may be a bit of a killjoy. You’re in the mood to enjoy life, but fun, romance and creativity seem harder now. Pause and define your desire. What does happiness mean to you? Don’t withdraw from life. But do examine your feelings and try to understand yourself better. This planetary pairing is pushing you to know what you want and be willing to work for it. Perfect timing: Mercury pivots out of its retrograde phase minutes later, restoring your ability to express yourself and to comprehend what will fulfill you. The Full Moon on April 12th can bring something from your subconscious to light, and you might need extra sleep and alone time. Don’t hesitate to retreat from the world that weekend. Venus wraps up her retrograde right after that, reviving your creativity and love life and putting pure joy within your reach. Soon, you’ll be in the mood to get out and play. After Mercury moves back into your efficiency corner on the 16th, you’ll be able to fine-tune your analysis of situations. You could restart a mental task you gave up on or fill in the blanks that tripped you up weeks ago. As Mars treks into your ambition angle on the 17th for a two-month tour, your drive to accomplish your goals and further your career surges. The more closely you identify with an objective, the more driven you’ll be to achieve it. If possible, work independently on endeavors that matter to you. Mars isn’t keen on answering to authority — another good reason to pick your own projects. If you do have to cooperate with coworkers or check in with a boss, choose your battles wisely. Mars was in this part of your chart back in November and December (and backpedaling here from December 6th to January 6th), so you might circle back to something you were working on then. Once the revitalizing Sun enters your relationship realm on the 19th, more of your energy will be channeled into your interactions with others during the month that follows. Even if you’re flying solo in your career, you’ll still want to pair off in other contexts. During a Mars-Neptune confab on April 19th, creative work and work that help others can both enable you to prove yourself and get ahead. The Sun’s skirmish with Mars on April 20th implies part of you is willing to negotiate and compromise, but part of you is inclined to pursue your own objectives. It could be productive to reflect on a relationship, especially if you focus on the role you play in it and the way you’re expressing yourself. A Sun-Pluto dustup on the 23rd suggests another person or a specific relationship can elicit turbulent emotions within you — which could provoke you to react. There are strong feelings churning inside you, and you need to find a healthy outlet for them. When Venus aligns with Saturn again on the 24th, a romance could take a serious turn. You might have a heart-to-heart about where things are headed and finally define the relationship or go your separate ways. If you’re involved in a creative project or a hobby, you may start to see it as more than just passing fun. Regardless of your relationship status, the idea is to treat love and happiness as very worthy aims. Your co-rulers, Mars and Pluto, oppose each other on April 26th, threatening to disrupt your home life or your mood. Dealing with your private struggles head-on can minimize their impact on your outer life. On the 27th, a New Moon may allude to a new partnership (personal or professional) that’s just around the corner. Or you could make a serious commitment to someone you’re already involved with. You might also start thinking about what you’re looking for in any kind of long-term relationship — and then set your intentions to connect with people who are more suited to you. After Venus slips into your efficiency corner on the 30th for a five-week stay, you’ll get more pleasure from what you’re doing on the job and in your daily life, and you can find creative, fun ways to take care of business. Perfect time to work on a relationship, beautify your workspace or get healthy and fit with companions.

SAGITTARIUS

November 22–December 21

Thanks to a Mars-Saturn summit on the 4th, you can blend intense focus and emotional restraint beautifully. You might confront a psychological stumbling block and mature as a result. Harmony between Venus retrograde and Mars on April 6th could create a sweet and sexy brew. You may feel safe enough to express your feelings and strong enough to pursue closeness. Or if you’re on your own, an underlying sense of wellbeing can help you to build resilience and recover from a crisis, loss or hurt. When Venus meets up with Saturn on the 7th, an underlying feeling of doubt, insecurity or discontent could affect your mood.
Look at what’s bothering you and try to get a firmer grip on what it is you feel you’re lacking. How might you correct this perceived deficit? With Mercury powering forward minutes later, communication with family and roommates begins to improve, and you won’t feel as confused by your own emotional state. The Full Moon of April 12th lights up your network zone, emphasizing your role in others’ lives and possibly calling for you to help people in need. Socializing is favored, but drama among your friends is possible. You might realize you want to cut ties with a certain group. Venus gets back in gear soon after that, improving your mood as well as relations on the home front. If you’ve been mulling over your décor, you’ll soon feel secure in your aesthetic judgment. After Mercury returns to your joy sector on April 16th, your sense of humor will come back, and you might pick up a game, a piece of creative writing or something you were reading for pleasure after neglecting it for a while. You could also find a way to articulate feelings that arose weeks ago. On the 17th, Mars blasts into your exploration realm for a two-month stay, motivating you to take more risks in order to grow. Channel energy into expanding your mind and pursuing unfamiliar experiences. You might take a big trip, engage in adventurous physical activities or fight for what you believe in. While it’s admirable to stand up for your principles, Mars can tempt you to bash people over the head with your personal opinions. Be conscious of that tendency and stay off the soapbox. Duty calls when the Sun shows up in your productivity corner on April 19th for its annual month long visit. You have the energy and focus to accomplish a lot at work and in your daily life. Mars connects with Neptune a few hours later, favoring a transcendent learning experience. Take a risk for the sake of personal growth. Whether you’re being more daring with your heart or creativity or finding the courage to try something that challenges you, venture into the unknown. The Sun’s squabble with Mars on April 20th makes it harder to stick with what you’re doing. Take periodic breaks to escape if you need to achieve a particular task that day. There’s a chance that whatever you’re focusing on will mobilize you to fight for truth, justice or personal principles. It’s easy to get into a dispute over right and wrong now. Don’t expend too much energy trying to convert people to your POV. You can agree to disagree. As the Sun argues with Pluto on April 23rd, an all-or-nothing mindset won’t serve you well. You could be pressuring yourself to do things perfectly and become preoccupied with micromanaging. Know that if you’re focused on gaining complete control, you’ll come on too strong. Aim for proficiency instead. Venus meets up with Saturn again on the 24th, and this time around, she’s not retrograde. You could get nostalgic or a bit blue, so make self-care a priority. You’re in the mood to settle down in your comfort zone and spend time with people you feel secure with. If your craving for security extends to a desire for romantic commitment, your thoughts might turn to next steps, like living together or having a baby. You could also be focused on household relations and what it will take to make your living situation work well. Mars and Pluto go head to head on the 26th, dialing up friction in a close relationship. If you hold firm to a particular position, you won’t learn much. But if you keep an open mind, you might figure out something big. The New Moon on April 27th invites you to get on a different schedule; start a new diet or exercise regimen; initiate a positive habit; improve your work ethic and time management; learn a skill; organize your workspace; make medical appointments; and try a different approach to a problem. Once Venus returns to your fulfillment house on the 30th, you’ll find it easier to draw in what — and whom — you desire. This planetary placement signals that it’s time to lead with your heart and enjoy life. If you’ve recently strayed from the pleasure of a creative project, hobby, fun activity or crush, you can get back into it over the next five weeks.

CAPRICORN

December 22–January 19

Mars connects with your ruler, Saturn, on April 4th, encouraging you to collaborate with people you know and perhaps form an alliance. If you take equality seriously, you can resolve a relationship issue through your actions, especially if words fail you. Venus retrograde flirts with her planetary paramour, Mars, on the 6th, setting the stage for you to engage with people. The yin-yang energy generated by this pair allows you to show warmth and affection while also asserting yourself to some degree. Normally, this would be a time to get out and meet new people or make a point of hanging with someone you like. But since Venus is backtracking, someone from your past could be in the mix.
Or you might feel like you can’t quite convey your feelings clearly, and perhaps another person is misreading you. When Venus melds with Saturn on the 7th, try to get very clear in your mind about what you want before spelling it out. Own your feelings, and pay attention to how you express them. You may find it difficult to share, partly because of planetary retrogrades and also because Saturn tends to have a restrictive affect. But don’t get discouraged. The real point is to find your inner truth. Fortunately, messenger Mercury shifts back into gear minutes later. Soon, you’ll feel more capable of making good choices and expressing your thoughts. On the 12th, a Full Moon may bring a goal to fruition or spell a shift in your career path or life direction. You might decide to let go of an ambition that no longer resonates with you. With Venus pivoting direct soon after that, it will become easier to think optimistically, get along with people, express your fondness for them and make your desires known. And after Mercury returns to your foundation angle on the 16th, you’ll get a better handle on feelings and memories that may have thrown you for a loop last month. As Mars cruises into your depth-and-merging zone on April 17th, you’re ready to dig into research, an investigation of sorts, an intensive endeavor or a passion project over the next two months. If you’re in a committed relationship, joint resources and sharing in general could be a source of conflict, but they’re also what you can work on together. Intimacy can also heat up in a good way, since Mars rules the libido, and this part of the chart rules sexuality. It rules psychology as well, so you could bravely explore the dark corners of your psyche, work through strong emotions, and transform pain into strength. On a different note, the Sun’s arrival in your fulfillment realm on April 19th fires you up to express your personality, creativity and heartfelt sentiments freely in the month that follows. A few hours later, a Mars-Neptune confab encourages you to do creative work at home. You might also do something to help a family member or housemate. Or you could heal a childhood wound, perhaps with the support of a loved one. The Sun’s skirmish with Mars on April 20th makes romance and sex a tricky mix. Maybe you want to go with the flow and enjoy life, but you also need to navigate a conflict in your psyche or between you and another individual. A Sun-Pluto battle on the 23rd hints that financial pressures could keep a lid on your joie de vivre. Your personal values, self-worth or material needs could also complicate your pursuit of pleasure. Perhaps you feel compelled to deprive yourself or indulge yourself and then suffer from resentment or anxiety. How can you work with what you have and manage to enjoy life on your terms? Venus and Saturn reconvene on the 24th, turning your attention to weighty matters. You might secure an important contact or meet an appealing older person. If you need to have a big talk with someone close to you, this planetary pairing encourages you to lay your cards on the table and discuss where things stand. It’s also a good time to solicit friendly advice or organize a neighborhood event. An opposition between Mars and Pluto on the 26th can make sharing feel harder. Money matters or dissimilar values may cause conflict, and you’ll find it challenging to compromise if you’re craving control. But if you’re absorbed in a project or a personal issue and are driven to make progress, you probably will. On April 27th, the New Moon coaxes you to discover a new source of pleasure like a hobby, start a creative endeavor or make more time for fun in the coming weeks. It can also spell the beginning of fresh romance. With Venus slipping into your domestic angle on April 30th, you may go into nesting mode, even though winter is officially over. Relax with family, housemates or by yourself in the comfort of Casa Capricorn and savor some decadent downtime. While you’re hanging at home, you might be inspired to redecorate. You have a green light now that Venus is no longer retrograde

Aquarius: Air, fixed.

AQUARIUS

January 20–February 18

Mars and Saturn are in cahoots on April 4th, reinforcing your work ethic. Your productivity can shore up your finances, while healthy habits will boost self-esteem. When Venus retrograde vibes with Mars on the 6th, perhaps you think you know what you want, and you’re willing to work hard to get it. Usually when these two cosmic companions join forces, you can magnetically draw in what you need and also go out and make your own luck. But with Venus retrograde for several more days, you might be miscalculating your desires or be unable to attract what you require. Still, you can take advantage of this fortunate flow by concentrating on your highest priorities.
A Venus-Saturn encounter on the 7th could coincide with a dip in confidence, and you may feel like you’re not enough somehow. Or you feel like you don’t have enough — enough money, possessions or talents, for instance. Fortunately, this alignment can prompt you to define your value and prioritize what is important to you. Stop and consider what you have going for you that no one can take away. Put coveting on hold for a moment and get clear on what you really want and what it will add to your life. How do your desires reflect your values? How hard are you willing to work to get what you want? Minutes later, mental Mercury wraps up its retrograde, improving your financial judgment and your ability to set priorities — and possibly delivering a delayed payment. The Full Moon of April 12th might bring an adventure or a leap of faith. It also offers the perfect excuse to let go of a limiting belief. As Venus finally resumes forward motion soon after that, money should start to flow more freely. Plus, you shouldn’t have as much difficulty using your resources and figuring out what you need and what’s most important to you. Mercury heads back into your thinking-and-talking corner on the 16th after turning retrograde there last month. Hopefully, you feel like your brain is fully up-and-running now, and words will flow with ease. Local travel, including commuting, won’t be as problematic as it may have been in March. Mars races into your interpersonal angle on the 17th, motivating you to recruit a partner in crime instead of doing things alone. You can accomplish more with a companion than you can on your own during the next two months, so don’t insist on flying solo. If you’ve glossed over grievances, this is the time to hash things out. Conflict can be healthy and constructive when you choose your battles well and fight fair. The Sun sneaks down to your foundation angle on April 19th, directing some of your energy to home and family. This month long stay can shine a light on your backstory and your current emotional state. A few hours later, harmony between Mars and Neptune hints that the best way for you to get on the same page with people is to think and speak with compassion and empathy. Creative collaboration and spiritual connection are favored under this influence. The Sun’s spat with Mars on April 20th makes it difficult to avoid confrontations. Your mood, your family or your home life could be the cause of trouble, and you might feel like someone is working against you. Another possibility: You’d like some time to yourself, but you’ve committed to getting together with another person. On the 23rd, the Sun elbows Pluto in Aquarius, and in trying to get a grip on your feelings or a situation at home, things may heat up at first. You might seem heavy-handed when you’re only trying to change something for the better. Resist the urge to get into a power struggle. Resolve to avoid manipulation, whether you’re the perpetrator or you’re on the receiving end. You can hardly help wanting to be in control. Pluto has that effect on people. Just try to keep the focus on self-control. You could become more serious about a plan to get what you want when Venus and Saturn meet up again on April 24th. You’re craving stability and security and are prepared to focus on practical steps. Get your priorities in order and surround yourself with reliable people. Indulging your senses can offer instant gratification. Mars goes toe to toe with Pluto on April 26th, and once again, you may need to overcome an impulse to control people, interactions, your environment and circumstances. Instead of trying to get the upper hand, concentrate on collaborating with other individuals to effect change. On the 27th, a New Moon hints at a new development in your family or a fresh start that affects your living situation. It’s a good time for you to put a self-care practice in place that will enhance your emotional wellbeing. Venus sashays back into your thinking-and-talking corner on the 30th, making you less shy about telling or showing someone how you feel. You’ll feel flirtatious and eager to see the good in people. Day trips, dialogue and learning together will help current relationships gel, while beautifying your community, socializing locally and striking up conversations can forge fresh bonds.
Pisces: Water, mutable.

PISCES

February 19–March 20

Mars joins forces with Saturn on April 4th, suggesting that you can gamble and win if you bet on yourself. Put a plan in place that leads to personal happiness. Take your growth seriously, but don’t take yourself too seriously. Go after what completes you—and be sure to factor in love, creative expression and joy. On the 6th, Venus in Pisces partners with go-getter Mars, her cosmic mate, which would normally send your mojo skyrocketing, but Venus is still retrograde. You might have the power to attract what — and whom — you want, but you’re not clear on your desires.
Or maybe you feel like your seductive charms are slightly muted. Your swagger and allure are working in tandem, so you can probably get away with doing just as you please that day, even if it doesn’t deliver quite the satisfaction you were aiming for. A Venus-Saturn mashup on the 7th can make you feel introverted or isolated. Make time for introspection, and try to define your worth and your wants as clearly as possible. With Mercury powering on in Pisces minutes later, your thinking will be more on point than it has been lately, as you start to contemplate personal matters with the benefit of increasing objectivity. And your silver tongue will gradually return! On April 12th, the Full Moon pushes you to honor someone else’s needs, release an embedded emotion from your psyche or settle a debt. Your sex life is likely to be extra emotional and quite passionate. Venus finally wraps up her retrograde in your sign soon after that. You’ll feel increasingly capable of projecting the image that you want to in the days ahead. Your desires will gel, and gradually, you’ll feel more sociable and able to draw in what and whom you desire. After Mercury zips back into your worth house on April 16th, you’ll get a clearer picture of your finances, possessions and what is really most important to you. With Mars returning to your efficiency corner on the 17th, you’re motivated to get a lot done during the next two months. While you’ll have sufficient energy to tackle much of what’s on your plate and will take pride in working hard, your drive could be off-putting to coworkers. So try to operate solo to whatever extent you can. This planetary placement blends usefulness and ego gratification — and not always so smoothly. If you get stressed out, rigorous workouts should help you blow off steam. With the radiant Sun blazing into your thinking-and-talking corner on April 19th, for the next month, you’ll be fired up to connect with the people around you and get your ideas across. When Mars forms an alliance with Neptune a few hours later, your hard work can assuage your financial fears and perhaps offset a deficit. Being of service to others will make you feel like you’re in alignment with your highest values. As the Sun scuffles with Mars on the 20th, it may be challenging to match your actions with the concept in your head. You might need to slow down and execute a task more meticulously. See if you can use curiosity as fuel to take productive, targeted action. Resist any temptation to criticize other people’s methods. You might have to look over your shoulder when the Sun runs into trouble with Pluto in your subconscious sector on April 23rd. You could either sabotage yourself inadvertently or be undermined by someone else. Either way, it may not be easy to spot. Try to read between the lines and protect yourself with strong boundaries. Simmering anger might show up in your words, making it essential to deal with feelings instead of sweeping them under the rug. Venus and Saturn reconvene in Pisces on the 24th, which could put you in a serious mood and make you more selective about whom you spend time with. You’re exuding warmth and drawing others to you, but it makes sense to narrow down your options. You might start a long-term relationship under this influence or break up with someone if the commitment just isn’t there. You may feel like you want to be with people who are right for you or else be by yourself. On April 26th, an opposition between Mars and Pluto suggests that psychological rumblings or an adversary could put a dent in your productivity. Tune in to emotions you’ve pushed down inside you or hidden motives you’re not fully conscious of. Otherwise, you might act against your own interests without meaning to. If you bring the contents of your subconscious to the surface, you can harness the tremendous power buried within you. The New Moon of April 27th can inspire you to change the way you communicate; learn something new; plan a short vacation or weekend getaway; gather information; and get in touch with people. After Venus dances into your worth house on the 30th, you’ll have a taste for stability, security and nice things. Your spending could surge in the next five weeks, but you might also bring in more money, since this is a period of easy come, easy go.
