This ($98) Gift Is the Closest Thing to Gifting A Hug

When the holidays roll around, I like to ensure that my friends and family can truly feel our love through the presents they’re opening. Often times my search for said gifts starts with bookmarking sites months ahead of time as I curate my Christmas lists, taking stock of unique and unexpected gifts that translate to “I’ve done a lot of research and finally found what I believe to be you, in present form.”
Although that remains my overall gifting strategy, there’s also an overwhelming need, especially this year, to just want to give everyone a giant hug. I may be an idealist at heart, but 2025 has seen some trying moments, so any chance I find to share kindness and warmth sits atop my personal list. Maybe I can achieve both?

THE WRAP I’M GIFTING TO EVERYONE THIS HOLIDAY

Hopefully my friends and family are not reading this (turn away now if you are!), but this Christmas I’m handing out literal hugs–via the Blanket Duster Wrap. Because… it’s the closest thing to a giant hug I can find. Coming from a “great hugger,” I can attest to this with confidence.

This may seem hypocritical of what I just stated, re: giving very personalized gifts. But, the inherent nature of a wrap lends itself to being “customizable.” The Blanket Duster can do oh so many things–it can be a true source of warmth and comfort as a blanket on a long holiday car/train/plane ride, lulling you into a nap.

It can be thrown effortlessly over one’s shoulders for an easy third layer…and really, it works over every outfit. (Well, maybe over a sweatsuit is pushing cozy a little too hard but…) Jeans, pants, minis, maxis, dresses, sweaters, blazers are all fair game for sporting underneath.

Blanket Duster Wrap

For my friends with a generally more elevated style, I picture a belt tying things together, with the wrap tucked up inside. This touch makes the duster an absolute it look and worthy only of swooning over (vs frowning upon) in a restaurant or party atmosphere.

Because the wrap ALSO comes in seven colors, I could, without fail, invite seven friends and family over for hors d’oeuvres and this duster, because of its styling versatility, would feel incredibly unique and different on each of them. That’s exciting to me, and checks off my want of gifting something special.

And… it’s $98. Which isn’t explicitly inexpensive, but does give me a little bit of a cushion on which to lean for a few bigger gifts, and/or to donate to a charity this year, as that also feels timely and important. However the spirit moves you.

Mine will be doing all the things while being hugged and sharing even more hugs.
