Change is in the air once again, starting with Pluto’s retrograde pivot on May 1st in Aquarius, the sign that he just entered in March. Then we have a Scorpio lunar eclipse on May 5th — the last in a series that began in November 2021. Mercury wraps up its retrograde phase in Taurus on the 14th, and Jupiter enters Taurus on the 16th, where it will remain until May 2024. Then Mars arrives in Leo on the 20th for a seven-week stay. What do all these planetary events have in common? They’re taking place in Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius — the fixed signs of the zodiac. The fixed modality is known for being loyal and stabilizing but also unbudgeable. And since these signs all form hard angles to each other (squares and oppositions), there’s bound to be some tension this month. Luckily, some of the planets are forming flowing trines — on May 13th, 15th and 21st — balancing out the friction with some much-needed harmony!
