Why do dresses like this exist?
Please stop making beautiful dresses that are unwearable outside of a photo shoot! This is a lovely, lightweight, well-fitted, flattering dress in a pretty print. But it is cut so low in the front that even the flattest chest would be completely exposed. FP makes lovely clothes that fit women with all sized bustlines, so why ruin it by cutting the neckline down to the rib cage? No one wants to wear a camisole under a sundress!
finally something for a small chest!
I was so excited to find out this is tight fit on the chest area, as i do not have a lot up top. this is super flattering if you have a small bust ! LOVE LOVE LOVE. My only complaint is the FP girl who rang up my two dresses that day, forgot to take the security tags off and now I'll have to make ANOTHER trip out to go get these removed. Otherwise, yay cute dresses!
I ordered this in an 8 and exchanged for a 6. I am 5'11", 155 lbs with a 36C bust. I love it. The cut is low so it does need to fit right. The fabric drapes beautifully and so the full skirt hangs nicely. Definitely not a work dress with the bust line but awesome summer dress with a jean jacket. Pretty.
Height: 5'7" (171 cm). Measurements: 32-22-32 (82-55-82). Inverted triangle body shape. Purchased in size 0, tea combo color. The neckline is very low. Dress fits me perfectly; I don't think the chest is too tight but size up if you're concerned. Length is a true midi.
when I ordered this dress I thought it was a sure thing, but the mustard color wasn't how I had imagined when I saw it in person. The floral pattern has a sort of bright pastel purple color mixed in, which I wasn't a fan of. As others have also noted, the fit is a little weird. From the photos I could tell it was very low cut, so I was expecting that. But the bust was much more fitted than on the model. I'm 5'2" 100lbs and a 32b, and the XS was very fitted in the bust on me. I was hoping for a looser fit, like how it's pictured, so this one was returned.
What a shame
I will mimic the previous poster. This dress is beautiful, fabric super soft, and just love the overall fit of it EXCEPT the bust. If you have small and perfect chest, it may work. But for me, being at 34DD, it barely covered my breast. And it was super low cut. I love this dress, but not at the expense of breast malfunction.
Beautiful, quality dress with bust issues
I fell in love with this dress the minute I saw it and bought it in the blue in my normal size XS (for reference, I'm 5'7", 34 b-c, 25-26, 34). The color and print are absolutely gorgeous, and the dress is ver high quality--soft, smooth, substantial, and lined. The fit was very flattering except for the bust. Now, the dress ran a smidgen tight on my bust, which can happen with side zips, so women who are a bit more top-heavy would probably want to size up more. That really wasn't problematic, except for that the bust of the dress did not cover my bust at all. The plunge is very low, and there's just not enough fabric in the front to cover the entire bust. I then tried a size 4 to see if the bust issues would be resolved, and while the fit was a bit better overall, the same issues with the bust were occurring. I'm not sure what size the models are wearing and if the dresses are pinned or something, but I'm just not seeing how this could fit on anyone without their busts spilling out. I tried to pair this with one of my many FP bralettes but just didn't like how the pattern was interrupted by it. I'm so sad. If you can make the bust work for you, this will be a gorgeous dress, and you will be very happy!
