Style: 40749327 Colour:
Ultra femme maxi dress featuring delicate lace along the plunging V-neckline. Sexy silky feel with a slight stretch in the fabrication.
So, so big!
The color and feel of the fabric are fantastic. But the dress is so, so big. I'm 5'7, 120lbs (usually wear a 2 in dresses) and the XS hangs off me ridiculously. I would have to take in 6+ inches around the torso to make it fit like it does in the photo. I can see clearly now by the way the neckline lays on the model, it is pinned extensively in the pictures. The neckline is much more of a straight V than the almost heart-shaped look in the photo. For reference, I am a small/medium in all FP tops.
NOT the same dress
The dress that the model is wearing DOES NOT EXIST. I was very excited to get this dress because the style suits me perfectly and the electric blue color in the pictures looks so beautiful. However, I was extremely disappointed when it arrived. First of all, the color is completely different. I received a mate green color dress that does not match the one that the model is pictured in. Second the style of the dress is completely different. I received a huge, loose, unflattering dress that is unlike the one on the model. Third the fabric is not at all the silky fabric as shown. I thought of the possibility of altering the dress to fit me better but the cost of doing that is probably not worth it. I'm very disappointed and most likely I will be returning this item. I LOVE Free People clothing but this time, I'm not happy at all.

Pretty, However Not the Dress on the Model!
I just received this dress today in hopes to wear it to a black tie event. The dress is pretty however it is not the same dress that is in the pictures on the model. The dress is a more of a greenish color then blue. The cut of the dress is also very different. On the model the waist line is down by her hips and on the real dress it comes up in an arch near by bellybutton. The dress was huge. I ordered a small. I am usually a size 2 and I could get a whole fist full of fabric on my waist and I no where close filled up the bodice. I would say the dress is still very pretty and extremely comfortable. I was not able to get a picture because I wanted to get it in the mail quickly in hopes I can exchange it for an extra small in time for my event. I am not sure if the xtra small with be small enough but I will at least post a picture. I would say that the small would fit a size 8. I still am not sure why they would sell a dress that is obviously not the dress in the picture.

Nothing Like the Photo
I'm so terribly disappointed by this dress. The one in the model photo shows a shiny, turquoise drop-waisted dress, but what I received is a matte-ish, drab green (with a hint of blue) dress with a wonky waist that actually curves up at the belly. The color and texture I could live with if it weren't for the awful waistline that's completely misrepresented in the photo. There is literally no way that this is the same dress. The photo shows a well-cut middle section that peaks like a diamond between the breasts and is straight across the mid-hip area at the bottom, like an elegant, almost Flamenco-style gown. What I received has an alternative 90s feel because it's bias-cut. Bias cut was popular in the 90s and I have no idea why it's becoming trendy again because it makes fabric stretch awkwardly and resist beautiful tailoring, like it's trying to be ugly. Because that's kind of what the 90s were about. Anyway, the middle section on this is a bias-cut band of fabric that's the same width all the way around, not cut to flatter the mid-section like the dress in the photo. An upward curve at the belly is not a flattering look. The appearance of what I received compared with the picture is so conflicting that I considered exchanging, assuming it was a flaw, but then I saw a photo posted by FPSarahEtsy beneath the Add Photos section...and her dress is the same as mine. She makes it look good, but it still isn't the same product advertised and isn't my style at all. To me it looks like something Courtney Love would've worn, and having lived through that era of fashion apathy, I'm over it. I'm seriously annoyed with Free People now, because this was supposed to be my New Year's dress for a black tie function. I bought gorgeous shoes to match it. These are first world problems, but still, I paid first world prices for a beautiful dress that apparently doesn't exist.
