Latter to Love Skirt
I purchased this skirt two years ago in a completely different color/strip. It is really a great skirt, its long and flows beautifully. Lov it, but it is costly!
addicted to it!
This is my favorite skirt of all time. I own it in four different colors. You'll notice that the one in the color called "wash" looks shorter in the photos. It IS shorter. The one I received was just 36", while all the others are 39". The marsala version looks burgundy on my monitor, but in person the material is more of a reddish brown—the color often called 'raisin" or "oxblood." Be sure to order your true size: though sweeping and voluminous from mid-hip down, the top ten inches or so are close fitting.
best purchase ever
I hesitated on this one due to the price, however, I'm so glad I bit the bullet and bought it. It is the most fabulous piece I own!!! I wore it with the Always Dreamin Dress and received 5 complements in an afternoon! Once the weather turns, I plan to wear it with my Pockets, Pockets tunic sweater. They look great together for that oversized, flowing look. I am 5'3" and bought the small. It hits at my ankles. It also looks adorable knotted at the bottom. So amazing, if you're waffling, just buy it. It rocks!
I'd had my eye on this skirt for a while, and was hesitant to purchase simply because of the price tag... but I took the plunge, and it was worth it! I got the olive colour, in XS (I normally wear a size 4), and find that it fits true to size. The length is good too-- I am 5'4" and did not have to shorten the hem. Lovely shape and weight to the fabric-- it is nice and flowy without much bulk, since the fabric is lightweight. The linen is durable quality but also breathable and perfect for warm summer weather. I can also see this skirt working well with leggings and boots for the spring/fall. I expect it will be a staple piece in my closet for many seasons. If you are on the fence about this one, it is worth it!
I could live in this...
This is such a flattering garment - slightly fitted at the top with a full, lush skirt; it's divine - I love it (bought the sepia). I'm 5'10" 145 and the medium fits perfectly (it might be way too much fabric for the short/petite girls). No word or wear and tear as I've just purchased it but, with all FP clothing, I'm sure it will require a bit of TLC when it comes to care and cleaning. Absolutely worth it.
Love these skirts
I bought the Sienna in M and the Coriander in S. I had to hem the Sienna as it was at least an inch and a half too long. The Coriander fit perfectly. These skirts are well made, hang beautifully and feel wonderful to wear. I received the most compliments on the Sienna one but like the Coriander a little better. The Sienna is a true 'burnt sienna' color not red like most of the pictures led me to mistakenly think. These are my new favorite wardrobe additions.
The Holy Grail
I am not in the habit at all of spending over 200 for a skirt, but this one kept calling my name and eventually I answered. Thank goodness I did. The waistband is sooo comfortable, the hang on the skirt is so beautiful (and yes, it is that full without adding bulk) I did not expect the 2nd colors to be so prominant, but the pink and blue stripes make it easy to wear with a multitude of tops. If i liked plaid, I would happily opt for the other color too. A+++++
Fit great! The elastic waist allows for a bit of give in the size. As with the other review the material is a medium weight and does flow nicely. As pictured on model. size for xs waist relaxed 23", waist stretched 35" length 36".
Great skirt, true to FP sizing, good long length
I have bought the large, which I would say runs true to most FP L or 12, my most usual size. As the previous reviewer mentioned, it does not run as large as the Lydia skirt, which I have in M. It is a nice medium weight fabric which has movement, hangs well and does not need a slip. There are subtle multicoloured lines in the stripes but the overall impression is black & (a natural shade of) white. Comfortable elastic waist & sits well on hips, a little below the waist. I'm pleased with the length which reaches the top of my feet (I'm 5'6"). It is longer than similar CP Shades maxi skirts sold by Free People last year, which I returned because I found them too short. This one has a better flow for me. Maybe a little expensive, which is what held me back from the fifth star, but a great skirt.
