This dress is so beautiful. It is too long but a good reason for some platforms. The material is great, there is actually a lot more than usual for FP. No complaints and it has been a year, embroidery is good too. Strong.

After seeing a picture of this skirt I knew I had to have it. I read what the previous reviewers had to say about sizing and ordered accordingly. I am between a 6 and an 8 so I ordered the 6. It is still a little loose so it sits slightly lower on my hips, which is fine with me. It is also a little longer on me (I stand 5'7") than it is on the model (who is listed at 5'11"). The back hem is just off the ground, which is what I was hoping for when I read the previous comments on it being longer. The embroidery is colorful and beautiful, the pictures don't quite do it justice. The beading is delicate. I took it out of the shipping bag and had three beads fall off immediately. This didn't bother me though as the beading was an added bonus in my opinion, and I can always stitch them back on. I can tell this skirt is going to be a staple in my wardrobe.

Very long and a little loose, delicate beading

What the other reviewers have said is true - this is a gorgeous skirt. I put it on and even though it was a size too big for me, my daughter inhaled sharply and exclaimed, "How beautiful!" So I know it's a winner. However, it is VERY long, and it does run a tad large, and the moment I gently unwrapped it from the paper Free People sent it packaged in, two of the beads fell off, so it's also delicate. Fortunately, I can sew, so i can fix all of these issues. For reference, I am 5'3" and I need to wear four inch heeled platforms to get it off the ground in the back. I'm very short, so most people probably won't have much of an issue. Don't size large on this though because if you do then when you tie it in the front, it will bunch up unflatteringly. If anything, size down. The skirt is adjustable to become larger, after all, but it can't become smaller.

The title describes it all. This skirt is beyond beautiful. I'm usually a size 2 and I had to get a 0 because it runs a little big. The beaded detailing is sturdy and the ruffles add that flowy feminine feel. Color is true to the pictures. Two thumbs way up!

Free People, you did it again! Well done. :) I was nervous about buying this without any reviews but here it is: I am 5'6" with a 30" waist and in a-line maxi skirts like this one, I order smalls most of the time but have XSs too. I ordered both a 2 & 4 in this skirt and am keeping the 2 because it falls JUST under the belly button vs. low like on the model - I felt it was more flattering look. I would call it "parchment" vs. "ivory" as it's pretty yellowish in color. It really needs a similar color shirt to avoid the design cutting you in half so I'm on a search! Though in theory, you could wear it with a million different color tops.
