Wanted to love, but..
I recently ordered this dress in the black lace and nude lining combo. Whilst I love the design details- low back, nude illusion and sheer skirt, the quality did not seem up to par for the price. The fit is very nice, (I'm 5"3, 110lbs) but I wish the lace panels were more vertically aligned on the bodice and skirt so it doesn't look so lop sided when on the body. I looked online to compare my dress with others- the white lace version seems better aligned so I'm not entirely sure if it was just mine that was a little off. Really wanted to love this dress but it wasn't worth the price that I paid for sadly
I LOVE this dress!! I bought the red and have worn this to two weddings so far and receive so many compliments - I keep looking for another excuse to wear it. It fits perfectly and is just so flattering. A true head-turner! I am 5'4, small framed and 117 lbs and purchased XS
This dress is pure perfection... i ordered in black and i love it, its formal but casual and i can wear it for many ocations with diferent accesories and shoes. Runs a little little bit tight, im normally a size 4 or small (urban outfitters or nastygal) and this dress fits great but its not too comfortable at the end of the night. I am a 34C and no too much hips and not too much waist, not so skinny but athletic kind of body, my weight is around 58 kg and im 1.67 mts, but i think that the size m would it be too large.
I'm curvy, bottom larger than shoulders body type. I tried the dress in the store today and it's just gorgeous. The fit is great! I tried in the store today but they only had M; in the shoulders it was slightly wide so I don't think I could wear it like that. Otherwise, the fit is perfect since I am small on the top. I'm gonna give the small a try, although I doubt that it will fit my hips. I would say it runs true to size.
Very Love in Red
I purchased this dress in the red embroidered lace, and the color is absolutely gorgeous. The real issue here, however, is fit. You really need to know your size in this label to get this one right. I purchased an XS because it was the only size still available, but because so many reviews indicated that it runs very small, I was a ball of anxiety until the dress finally arrived. I was relieved when it fit comfortably, but there is not an inch to spare. For reference, I am 5'2", about 110 lbs, with a 32C bust, 23" waist and 35" hips. The waist band has absolutely no stretch, and in the XS it can't be more than 24". In order to be able to sit and eat in this dress, I cannot gain a pound. The top and sleeves are a little loose on me, but I have a small ribcage and skinny arms. The lower hips are free, but the upper hip is slightly fitted. As a result, there is a slight puckering near the zipper, but I hope to eradicate that with more squats and lunges, or - if that fails - a pair of nude, low-rise shaper briefs. Because the back is so open, one is very limited in undergarment options, so high-waisted shapers are totally out of the question. The dress itself is gorgeous. The baroque pattern in the embroidered lace is lovely. The garment is well-constructed, and the fabric seems to be of good quality, at least from a tactile perspective. I'm wearing this dress to a wedding in Mexico, but it is lightweight enough that I'm not worried about the sleeves being too hot for the Mexican heat. This will be one of my favorite dresses, and I think I'll wear it a lot after the wedding ... as long as it continues to fit, at least.
This dress is Amazing!
I have this dress in the red-orange/nude color, which I received for my birthday last year in Oct. Fitted dresses are usually slightly baggy in the waist area on me but this XS just fits due to the secure lower back strap, & the material only being slightly stretchy (I am 33-24-34 & 5'7"). I wore this dress for my birthday & a few fall/winter weddings, for which I received many compliments from ladies & gents of all ages! It's just so different looking while also being extremely classy & elegant... And in the vibrant red pattern, I felt like a Moroccan princess!
This is a really beautiful dress, I love the design and it seems well made too -which helped me to justify the price. I really enjoyed wearing it at my 30th birthday party and it fit like a glove (I bought the small on the advise of the other reviews, I am a size UK 8-10).
Gorgeous, but too small
This dress is amazing. But you absolutely need to go up a size! I wear a small, but couldn't even zipper this dress up and opted to keep the San Marcos mini dress instead. Super photogenic dress.
Received this in the mail a couple days ago. As expected, the quality is really nice. The lace is gorgeous and the slip is sewn in really well and sturdily. It does run a wee bit small... I'm always an XS in FP dresses, and this guy is a little snug. I'm 5'6" and 101 lbs for reference. Not worth sizing up for, but maybe not the best thing to wear to a big dinner either :) I dress it down with chelsea boots and a leather jacket.
This dress is just stunning! I bought the red one, and the color is so vibrant. It fits me like a glove, and although it is shin length on most people, it fits as a perfect ankle length maxi on me (I'm only 5'0" and got an XS). This dress is even comfortable, and although form fitting, I feel like I can move around in it too. The only thing I worry about is that the mesh will catch on something and tear, or that the beautiful embroidery will unravel, but so far neither have happened and I've worn it a few times. It was pretty expensive, but worth every penny because I can dress it up or down, and can wear it three out of the four seasons.
