Why is packing for a weekend away so difficult?
And why is it even more difficult when there’s an activity involved? A bachelorette party with a Pilates class or yoga on the beach, a camping trip with the college friend group with some light hiking in store, or even something as simple as a quick trip to compete in a Saturday 5K – it’s so hard to know what you might need and even harder to feel cute while being active.
Well we think that keeping it simple is the best way to start. Think bra, top, bottom, socks, shoes, then any accessories you see fit. Let us break it down by activity for you. We can all agree there’s A LOT to unpack here.

What To Pack For…A Hike Weekend In The Mountains
Whether you’re preparing to hit the trail or going for some casual nature walks with friends, there are a few staple pieces you don’t want to skip out on.
Hikers: An all-terrain hiking shoe with a high-traction outsole and tongue-to-toe lacing for a secure, comfortable fit.
Hike Bottoms: Add in some water-resistant hike pants (this pair zips off to become shorts) so you’ll be ready rain or shine, no matter the temperature.
Comfortable Tank: Start with a supportive, 2-strap tank for total compressive comfort.
Light Layers: Add a lightweight, breathable layer that’s the perfect weight for topping with a jacket or keeping it simple.
Outdoor-Ready Additions: Equip for your hike with socks, gear, and of course the most important accessories of all: a water bottle and some sunscreen.

What To Pack For…A Calming Yoga Retreat
So you did it. You finally booked the retreat you’ve been talking about for years. Or…maybe you’re heading to a bachelorette party where the bride requested a little Pilates by the beach? Whether you’ll be doing sun salutations in a scenic vista or laying out your mat for some waveside glute bridges, here are a few essentials we think you’ll want to take along.
Matching Set: If you love a matching bra and legging combo, we recommend our top-rated duo: The Don’t Let Go Bra and The Quick Step Pant.
Bike Shorts: If you prefer to stretch it out in a compressive bike short, that works too! We suggest packing clothes that move with you and feel like a second skin as you flex.
Accessories: Top off your look with grippy socks if you’re needing extra traction or a soft, stay-put headband to keep your hair at bay.
Yoga Mat: Last but certainly not least, a yoga mat all your own that looks as good as it feels.

What To Pack For…A Destination Marathon, Half Marathon, or 5K
Anyone who’s done a marathon (or even a 5K) knows that they can be addicting. The feeling of accomplishment, the thrill of the challenge, and of course…the joy of planning the race day outfit (or maybe that’s just an us thing). Regardless, here are a few essentials we think will come in handy for your next (or your first) running race day!
Sneakers: Arguably the most important aspect of any run, the race day sneakers you wear need to work for you (and only you can know just what those are). However, we highly recommend this pair from On, a sneaker designed for logging miles in comfort.
Running Shorts: Pick a pair of shorts that don’t ride up and have a sweat-wicking brief so that you’re able to move freely without having to fuss with the fit while you run.
Sports Bra: Nothing beats a high-impact, strong-support sports bra that keeps you feeling secure even as you pick up the pace!
Bonus points for SUN PROTECTION: We don’t have to tell you about the endless benefits of protecting yourself from the sun’s harmful rays (but we did..read more about it here). Add in a UPF-rated tee, high-coverage bandana, or sun-blocking hat to stay covered all day long.
