As always with FP Euro sizing, size up
Really really love these. I got them in grey, but they're really more of a light faded taupe in person. Pretty much the same color as the pictures show. I'm a size 8 and always size up to a 39 when purchasing European shoe styles on FP. I have an hourglass body type and my legs are a little thicker, so the calf area is way too tight. I was only able to zip up 3/4ths of the way, but after after a few weeks of wear the leather relaxed and I am able to zip all the way up. (Just wore under jeans for awhile to let them stretch) You can always take them to a shoe repair person and have them stretched professionally. They are so cute and chunky!!
For skinny legs
Well made boots, comfortable and true to size. Stylewise it was exactly what i was looking for, but it is very narrow around ankle! I couldn't zip it upI(size 7)! So don't buy it if you don't have skinny legs/ankles!Again, pictures don't give us (online customers) true idea how it is going to fit
I bought these in a 40, I wear a straight size 9. The 39 was to small. I got the brown and absolutely love them. They fit perfect and are not to tight or loose around my ankle. They go with almost anything and are one of the most comfortable boots for all day wear that I've ever owned. I'm a bar manager and on my feet in a fast paced atmosphere at least 12 hrs a day 5 days a week. These boots stick right with me. I hope they make some in a nude or white suede or leather. I love mine.
Love the style, though narrow around the ankle
This is a very cute style indeed, with the little platform and the curvy shape over the back of the foot and suede heels. The suede is lightly distressed. They are comfortable and I think basically true to size on the foot, but significantly narrow around the ankle/upper ankle area. This is why I've put 4* and not 5*. I can only just zip them up in the 41 and have average ankle/calf size (and I sometimes wear size 40 even in quite narrow boots). I'm hoping they will stretch a little. Possibly this is one of those issues that will affect the larger sizes more than the smaller sizes. For comparison I am on average 9.5 US sizing, sometimes 10. I'm keeping these in the 41, and could not squeeze my ankles into the 40s at all.
