Online Return Policy

We’ll gladly accept unworn, unwashed, or defective merchandise purchased on for return or exchange. Free People merchandise purchased at independent boutiques and department stores must be returned to the location where it was purchased. Please contact the individual boutique or store for their return policy.

Christmas Return Policy Purchases made from 1/11/2018 through 24/12/2018 on and in Free People UK stores may be returned for credit towards the original form of payment through 31/1/201. Items must be returned in original condition with attached price tickets and must be accompanied by the packing list or original sales receipt. All other conditions of our Return Policy apply.

Gift Returns - The original order number from the packing list or Order Confirmation email is required to process gift returns. Please include this with your gift.

Non-Christmas Return Policy Purchases made prior to 1/11/2018: If we receive your return at our warehouse within 30 days of delivery, we’ll credit your original form of payment. If it's received after 30 days, a Free People eGift Card will be issued. If you paid with an eGift card, a new eGift card in the amount of the credit will be issued and emailed to you accordingly. Please note: eGift cannot be returned or exchanged.

Gift Returns Use our Free Returns Portal to print a free return label. Enter the order number and email address that was used to place the order and select a reason for return. Make sure to include information inside your return that notes it is a GIFT and include the email address the eGift Card should be sent to. Once the return is received, an eGift Card will be issued.

Beauty and Wellness We’re unable to process returns for opened and used Beauty and Wellness products. All Beauty and Wellness products purchased on must be returned unopened, unused, and in original condition and packaging to our Returns warehouse.

Swim and Intimates We’re unable to process returns for swimwear or intimate apparel items that have been worn or are returned in a soiled condition. All intimate apparel must be returned in original condition, with original packaging and tags attached. All swimwear must be in new and unused condition with sanitary strips in place.
