Comfortable and pretty but tight
These shoes have a great look, I love them for being so unique! Unfortunately, I ordered a 39 (usually a 38 but have somewhat wider feet) and even then had to replace the insole with my own to make the shoes fit. The length is good but it was too tight around the middle of my foot due to the higher insole (almost like wedges). The top of the shoe has little to no give because it is leather without stretch. Additionally, I found small black paint marks on the stretch panels, presumably from the coloring of the leather. When they arrived, the shoes looked used as the sole wasn't pure white but also kind of grey. This was probably on purpose. Neither of these issues bother me enough to return them, though. In all, great shoes so far, wish they would've been cheaper for the quality I got out of the box.
Love these shoes!!!
First of all I have worn these shoes to death and have just repurchased my second pair because I can't live without them! The are very comfortable and true to size. They are cool enough were you can dres them up or down and don't look like your typical sneakers which I like. I am on my feet all day and they give great comfort and support. I gave them 4 stars only because the fabric on the shoes falls apart as you wear them but I got past that. I would recommend them to everyone!! You will get tons of compliments.
These boots are made for walkin!
Originally wanted the black but they had sold out, so took a chance on the Taupe and so glad I did. Colour is great, easy to wear, and these shoes are so comfy! I wear US 9, and bought EU 40, size was spot on. Really tempted to get another pair.
Wonderful but misleading brand info
The first thing I want to say about these are that they are not A.S. 98 shoes in the traditional sense. They did not arrive in typical A.S. 98 fashion. Nowhere on the box, the inserts or the shoes was A.S. 98 named or even mentioned. When I inquired about this FP said MJUS is a sub-brand of A.S. 98. When I went to the MJUS website there was no mention of A.S. 98 so I still don't quite understand why they are listed as the brand for this shoe on the website. Look: it's not like it matters so much if you love the shoes which I do. It's just that for folks who feel a brand loyalty for certain brands and what they have come to represent, it's good to know. But these shoes are indeed wonderful in their own right. While they don't have the rough handcrafty feel of A.S. 98s, they are indeed as shown in the photos. My feet are between 10 and 10.5 so I ordered both the 40 and 41. The 40 was too small and irritated around the ankle (my ankles are thin). At first I thought the 41 would be too loose but after walking around the house in them I realized they were really quite perfect. I could comfortably walk many a city block or country road in these without any issue. The taupe color is a perfect neutral and utterly versatile. These will get a lot of wear.
I gave it four stars instead of five because there is a tiny nick on my right shoe...maybe a packing thing? However, it is very minor and I am not returning because these shoes are AWSOME and feel great plus they took forever getting here in the first place. The texture is fun and interesting, the cushion is out of this world, they have a lot of give due to the stretchiness but yet a lot of support and lastly, they fit true to size ( I am an average 7.5, not too narrow or wide with kind of a high arch). I bought the black and just know that they definately not as shiny as in the picture . I think that must have been because of the studio lighting but they do have a cool sheen, I think. LOVE these and I can't wait to wear them a lot!
